Atm my switch is setup so just loading the Album automatically launches Homebrew, how do i set it up so i need to hold down another button to launch hombrew??

I updated atmosphere to 0.15.0 and updated to firmware 10.2.0 using ChoiDujourNX now when I start a game it says unable to start software.

Hi, i have an old non-mariko rcm model switch on 4.1.0. (its been in offline mode forever)

if i read the pinned firmware sheet correctly this is the last firmware that supports deja vu and warmboot (which is preferable?) but reading the homebrew guides, its stated that caffeine should only be used if you are struck with a ipatched model.

My question is if i should i update to the latest firmware and then use fusee gelee or should i use caffeine then update with ChoiDujourNX?
Reading through old threads is slightly confusing.

I hope I'm right here. My switch is hackable, and I just want to be able to play my "backup" games, nothing else (no retro-emulation, movie watching, etc.). What I'm looking is a fool (=me) proof way to mod my Switch.
I found a tutorial on youtube with hekate and then something happened and I had to start all over again and lost all my save games. Is there a way to do this super simple? I believe Hekate is a boot loader where you can choose more custom firmwares which I don't need.
tl;dr:
So I am basically looking for the easiest guide - like I said I just want to play games and that's it.

Ok im going to use haku33 to give me a clean sysnand, i may or may not play games online so the same possibility of my switch getting banned is not a life or death situation.

Before using haku33 should i remove incognito, AutoRCM and 90DNS from the switch or does haku33 do this automatically?

You should hold R button while launching another software to go to the homebrew menu.

I personally would recommend you to go for fusee but it's your choice in the end. But note that if you create an emuNAND with caffeine you can update the emuNAND fw to play the latest games (I don't think you can update SysNAND on caffeine). And here is a guide that includes both methods.
If you go for fusee, than update to the latest fw before doing it.

Try downloading latest sigpatches, if you haven't.

Yes i understand, but this switch will be for my niece so i dont want here loading up homebrew by just loading the album, so would like to change it back to how it used to be when you had to hold down the should button

You can't get the album back to its normal state on cfw afaik. But you can access to the normal album by holding down L/R.

yes but id like it the other way around, so put clicking on the album it loads the album BUT holding L and clicking on it opens homebrew, how do i set that up?

Hmmm incognito seems to hang when im trying to restore the prodinfo_sysnand.bin file says....

I have a question: if i activate autoRCM do i corrupt something that will get me banned, no matter what i do while in cfw?

I believe it’s the unit itself that gets banned - not the account

I seem to be having a lot of trouble running any nsp converted from xci. I'm running AMS 0.14.4 on Horizon 10.1.0 with the fusee-primary sigpatches and most of my games work, but I'm seeing XCI converted games like Catherine Full Body and Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne telling me corrupted data was found when I check for it in Horizon. Is there something that jumps out as being wrong with my setup conditioning on xci converted .nsp games being a problem?

Are you booting Atmosphere with fusee_primary?

So a fresh switch patched with using hekate - CTCaer mod v5.3.4 & Nyx v0.9.5 on emuMMC, upon installing Tinfoil for the first time it wouldn't appear on the home screen hand just had the loading egg timer where the artwork should be for tinfoil, i figured out i need the latest sigpatches!. I got the sigpatches from this thread

i copied the files to the root of my SD card and overwrite any duplicate files. After this Tinfoil did then install correctly and was able to load but then i got a red warning screen say i need to remove Kosmo which i did and then Tinfoil worked fine.

But now when i load the hekate_ctcaer_5.3.3 payload and select the emuMMC nand to launch through Hakata i get a message saying....

Failed to apply 'nosigchk'

how do i fix this issue??
