Hacking 2DS XL CFW fail

Hi everyone,

I was following this guide on youtube and my 2DS XL won't switch on after a step in the video. when i press the power button, it flashes for 1/2 a second blue and nothing happens.

the step was the install of safehax after the red screen (i will include video and timecode, hopefully we can link)

I'm hoping someone has come across this problem.

so far I've tried safe mode, putting in a game, removing SD card, charging.

14m35sec (sorry timecode isnt working)

Rule number 1 never use YouTube. Is boot.firm on the sd card?

Hi godreborn, yes boot.firm is on the sd card.

If it's bricked, I think you can use Ntr boot to unbrick it.

nope you need a working ds or 3ds or dsi or 2ds in order to flash a flashcard

Is your 3ds turning on for a second then turning off (iow, the blue led flashes for a second then turns off)?.

This means your boot.firm is corrupted, named incorrectly (boot(1).firm doesn't cut it), or your sd card is corrupted.

If you used winrar to extract the boot.firm, that could also be the issue.

zoogle! that was it! i put another card, and luma3ds popped up. good thinking boss! (yes the blue light was flashsing for a sec without anything else happening)
