Hello to everyone.
My Switch CFW is 9.2.0|AMS 0.11.1|S with Kosmos toolbox 4.0.0 and Hekate version 5.1.4

I run CFW through sysNAND because through emuNAND i get a black screen. I neither want to go online nor insert physical games, so i don't matter with CFW sysNAND.

I tried to follow the guide from the
nh-server.github but it says " 1. Launch Hekate, and go to the Options tab at the top right of the screen. Turn "Update Reboot 2 Payload" on the bottom right ON (if it isn't on already). " but there is no such option in Hekate!

So can someone please advise me how should i update to the latest hackable firmware?

Hi everyone! I'll try to explain my situation in the simplest possible way.

I followed NH Switch Guide months ago and started using sysnand for online play with purchased games and keeping emuNand completely offline for homebrew and other stuff. Two months ago, I bought a LAN adapter for the dock and I was scared that I would forget to unplug it when switching to emuNand and therefore be banned. However, I was then told to do two things to avoid bans if that happened:

1. Set up 90DNS. I did that by disabling airplane mode for like 30 seconds to access the Internet Settings.
2. Turn off automatic LAN connection. In theory, even if the ethernet is plugged in, it won't connect to the internet unless I manually enable it.

I did that like two months ago. And, today, it happened. I was playing a game (offline, of course) on emuNand with airplane enabled as always and realized the ethernet was plugged. I unplugged it as soon as I reallized. No messages or weird things apeared. Even if I followed the steps I mentioned and never ever went online before, is there risk of ban due to having had the ethernet plugged for about 30 minutes?

Well you had automatic LAN connection turned off so as you said, in theory, it won't connect to the Internet unless you manually enable it.

I have an unpatched Switch. I just got a RCMloader in the post.
Is this still good to use, or is there something better now?
I was waiting a long time to receive it (lost parcel), and I am not sure if something better has come along.

The only thing that might potentially be better is something very old in the scene which is an internal trinket that would automatically send payloads. However this requires soldering. There may never be a better exploit in the future and even if an untethered coldboot hack is released, it may require a very specific and low firmware that little to no people no longer use so don't get your hopes up on anything better ever coming out.

another question guys.
is it ok to install all legit games and update from eshop/gamecart to the same SD card where my emummc installed as well without getting flag for ban??

edit:
just to clear. all legit games/update were installed using stock clean sysnand. reason why i'm asking if i need separate SDcard for that purpose or can i use the same SD where I'm using the emummc as well.

There would be legal and potential false positive consequences if Nintendo were to ban people for contents on their SD card. The legal implications come from Nintendo potentially sifting through users' personal files which can be seen as a breach of privacy. The false positives come from the fact that having the files alone is not enough to hack the console therefore banning any user for having these files is risky.

Before updating your firmware, you have to update your CFW because CFW requires updating to support the newer firmware versions. Download the latest Hekate and Atmosphere then place them on your SD card. After that, you can use the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX to update your firmware.

It is below 9.0, so wouldn’t game card slot be updated too? I have heard about nogc and I really don’t want that enabled. Help appreciated [emoji4]

Like I said, you can always use game cartridges but you have to pick if you want to use them on firmware versions above or below 9.0. You cannot have it both ways.

hello yall back again ! i was trying to use daybreak to update my emummc (inb4 why animal crossing update, duh) i dumped my own firmware and daybreak validated the update fine, but then i get an error "exfat validation failed" it brings up a few prompts after if i for Sure want to continue . my sd card is formatted to fat32 anyway so i Shouldnt have to worry about it right?

I got this same error:
It says the update is valid (going from 9 to 10.2.0), but then it says:
exFAT Validatoin failed with result 0x00000202
Missing content
- Program id: 010000000000081C
- Version 10.2.0
- Content id: 000000 (about 20 or so 0s)

CFW are just files on the SD card. You can either back them up or redownload them.

Hi guys. I am about to backup the mSD card in my hackable Switch onto my USB HDD before I go through with Switch FW update process. Anyway, after I do the backup of mSD, and after I update Hekate and Atmosphere, is there any prep stuff I need to do before I update Switch FW with ChoiDujourNX? Thoughts and help appreciated

Every time I create Emunand (hidden or not) on SXOS the process completes and says emunand enabled, but when I press Boot CFW it hangs on that same selection screen for a few seconds then black screen forever. If I disable or delete the Emunand then boot Cfw it works perfectly. I’ve tried to format the card too. I can’t understand it. Could it be the otherwise perfectly functioning card?

You can either try another SD card or or creating an emuMMC with Hekate.

Hello, I have ersita patched SX Core'd switch. I am using atmosphere on my 2nd sd card via boot menu+cleanup+hekate. So, it takes some time as you can guess and since the Xecutor's situation is unknown I may need to move to atmosphere permanently. Is there a custom boot.dat that is compatible with sx core or can it be possible in the future?

Hi guys. I was able to update to 10.0.2.0 with Daybreak, but now I have a problem though, I cant boot into CFW Atmosphere. It says failed to apply nosigchk and I also got the failed to launch HOS. What can I do? Help appreciated...
