I wanna gift my cousin the super mario 3d collection but I also want to get those pins. He already made an account on the switch although I believe he doesn't have a my nintendo one. Can I link mines to his and get the redeeming credit on my, my nintendo?

If you haven't linked your account to a Switch before, then you should be able to link it to his Switch.
