So, I'll get straight to the chase. I want to install a battery mod on my PSP. It's a rare color imported from Japan, so I need to make the mod removable, and not modify the actual console. I was thinking of just wiring a cell phone battery to the PSP battery connector. I was wondering: 1, will this work? 2, what battery should I use?

very bad idea unless you know what you're doing, you need to look for the right voltage, polarity, and something that isn't smaller in capacity than the original battery

There was some kind of mod where you removed the UMD drive to install extra storage, maybe that could be used for a battery mod.
But since you don't want permanent modifications I don't think there is much you can do.
