I played through 5 games on Super Mario Land 2 and it didn't save any of it Tried this several times with no luck.... and sometimes it displays "MICROSD INITIAL OK" when I reset. What could be causing this and what's the fix?

Post the crc of the original romI've tried it both with the original no intro gameboy ROM, and the DX hack

Also I just noticed in another post that I should check the SAVER folder, but I don't even have that folder on my card

Oh I have always has the SAVER folder and getting stuck that's a power issueOkay, so this is interesting. I created that SAVER folder, and now when I reset it says it's saving, but it gets stuck on that screen. If I reset and load Super Mario Land 2 it's saved my progress. So it's at least partially solved.

First of all, congratulations on solving the problem.
But I'm still curious to know the capacity of the MicroSD card you're using, and the size of the file allocation unit you're formatting the SD card with!
Did you buy this card a long time ago?Sure, it's a Sandisk 4 GB with FAT32, 32k cluster size
Did you buy this card a long time ago?
We're also curious about the percentage of EZ-FLASH Junior users who experience the kernel not being able to create the SAVER folder when backing up the save for the first time.
Need to find the commonality of this problem, the current probability is that it's out on older SD cards
