At least Nintendo is repairing them for free even if they are out of warranty...
They're only fixing drift. I've had issues with the locks shearing off and not holding the cons onto the switch and other people in this thread have had issues such as buttons not working and poor connection.

Left analog drift on left joycon and Pro controller, both bought launch day.

Waiting for Nintendo repairs to re-open so I can send them both in for repair, I can repair it myself but since Nintendo if offering free repairs for drift issues I may was well send it to them.

I still have purchase receipt.

Is already out of warranty

If you have purchase receipt I believe Nintendo of America/Canada is offering free analog drift repairs regardless if it's out of warranty.

I can't speak for Europe though.

Both my controls sticks drift in DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. The shoulder buttons, especially ZR, doesn't feel as good as it used to, though that is to be expected. I can't really send them to repair from where I live, so I've been digging up my 3ds, though the A button on that is showing some wear too

It's still in lockdown anyways, though given how there isn't as big of a gaming community, I'd say it be slow even if they open

I expected Nintendo of Europe is still in lockdown but does Nintendo of Europe offer free repairs for joycon/Pro controller drift for out of warranty products with receipt?

Nope. At least, not the set I got with my Switch. I had to send them into Nintendo about a year into owning the console. So far, they've been okay, but have had occasional bouts of drift about a year after sending them in.

I’ve got four pairs of Joycons. None of them have ever drifted, though I do have this weird syncing issue with one of them. When the Switch is docked, it keeps desyncing from the right Joycon, even when it’s about a foot away from the system.

Had drift on the left one (ended up fixing it myself), and I think the Y button gets stuck sometimes on the right one, but it might have been a bit of something that impeded the button movement as it was clicky. My daughter is the one who mostly plays it and doesn't report any problem, so it possibly went away on it's own.

That sounds similar the issue I have. What ‘solved’ it for me is not holding the two Joy-Cons too close together (around 60-70 cm, the distance of your chair's arm-rests should be fine).

Positive. I own 2 (bought 1 in 2019, the other 1 was bought a few months ago) Switches, both of their joycons are still working just fine.
That said, I am using the pro controllers most of the time. So that helps.

I've had mine since launch day (the grey ones), and they still work fine. It did have drifting issues which I send for repairs to Nintendo for free last year, and so far no issues.
