With courses starting, I don't think I'll be able to commit to this game, but I did start playing Mega Man X Regenesis. So far, I really appreciate it. The gameplay feels (mostly) like a real Mega Man X installment.

I refuse to look at guides, so I spent time spinning my wheels. I really enjoy that slow grind for a Mega Man X game, and I did the same with Mega Man X8 16-Bit. You get to slowly improve X through upgrades, while you test yourself with the stages and bosses.

I haven't had any of the crash issues others have reported, but the game did seize up briefly a few times in one stage. It doesn't bother me, but some of the original artwork stands out against the assets from the SNES games. I feel bad for even mentioning it, but it's something I noticed.

One thing I want to point out is that the boss theme is legit. Mega SFC did a nice job with it. It's got the right energy.

Those are my first impressions of the game. So far, recommended for Mega Man X fans.

Solid game, but 1/2-2/3 of the way I kinda gave up since game started throwing those purely annoying enemies you HAD to take down using extended weapons and abilities with constantly and seeing how rest of the game was purely more of just that I pulled the plug. AC at least had lots and lots of fluid and fun parkour vs just driving the horse from one mini-boss random encounter to the next.

Now, I take EVERYTHING I harked at new Star Wars Zero Company - it's a perfect SW themed XCOM albeit with TOO much graphics and absolutely unnecessary and power-hungry Unreal engine. Once you get (mid game, maybe? wherever I just got to) your toons absolutely wake up from weak slumber and start wrecking everything like SW heroes ought to!

Some missions can be absolutely brutal and force you to hella leg it to extraction point and to throw insult to almost grave injuries, they spawn a ton of fresh baddies RIGHT next to your extraction point you're still at least 2 turns of full speed away from....

But then Jedi and non-Jedi can yeet things off when maps have chasms or pure airspace around the play area

And THE best QoL - you can change classes/respec spent skill points absolutely willy nilly thus try all sorts of combos and whatnot. Game can be plenty hard as it is.

Edit: HOOOOLY Sithspit this story and delivery absolutely fucks! Just when you think you might be at the final boss, nope! For what it is and how generally focused, this is almost as damn good as KotoRs in a kinda, sorta similar format since those were technically turn based as well.

Check this game out its nothing new slightly older but its a good entry into the aliens franchise. The game incorporates strategy and hectic levels. Its a challenging game for sure I played it before.

I’ve picked up Stellaris, but I don’t think I’ll commit to it. I liked Hearts of Iron 4 and I remember playing one of the Crusader Kings games, but Stellaris feels overwhelming...

I've also finally gotten my hands on Deltarune! After watching hundreds of gameplays on YouTube and reading every page on the wiki, I can now experience the game firsthand. It’s such a different feeling!
