Can I run PSX Games on my DSI XL?

You can get a SuperCard DSTWO flashcard, and run a PS1 emulator there. It would have low FPS and no sound though.

Well no your best bet is picking up a new 2DS XL from walmart for about 100 which can play PSX games at around full speed. the DSI is basically a ps1 stuffed in a little case. it struggles to emulate the snes so it would never run a ps1 game.

(although someone did get the psp to run a dreamcast game so hell who knows maybe someday)

There is a point. People can still enjoy them at slow speeds, and besides, there is also the point of EXPERIMENTATION. It's still emulation. Just not fast.

i was able to beat persona 5 emulated at 15 fps and i still had fun.

The main thing here is that some people will still enjoy it. I had to endure 20-30 fps luigis mansion because at the time all I had was a slow ass laptop but I still liked it and enjoyed it.So yes, there is a point to slow ass emulation.

The DSTwo has it's own processor and memory which lets it do things like decent SNES/GBA emulation (gbarunner2 is not an emulator so it doesn't count) on the DS. Just think of the DSTwo as having a Dingoo A320 built into it with the DS just being used for the controls, display, and sound.
