Hacking Using external harddrive on PS4 6.72

Question. I just picked up a 6.72 ps4 and the exploit is working great! (first try this morning, very stable!) unfortunately it's only 500g HDD. At my local computer shop they have a 2tb internal drive which I can use or a 4tb external. Will the external work on a jailbroken 6.72 ps4?

I've only been able to get external games working using remote package installer. When I tried installing from exfat usb to external formatted to PS4 it would fail.

extended storage is not working for now but al azif is working on it, i would be surprised if it's not supported in the near future (mira or hen).
don't know about usb hdd support but you wil have to use app2usb payload to move games

yes you have 2 way whit external drive

1- as formated extended storage ( you farmat it via ps4 and install your game wit remote package installer and pkg sender or any other pakage sender for the ps4

2- by formating it in exfat and using app2usb after instaling the game via debug menu on your internal 500gb

Not completely true. I have remote package installed about 50 games to external on 6.72 and they work fine.

got 101 game instaled on extended storage (part from 5.05 that still work and my new game that i install whit remote package installer (RPI)

You could try it all you have to do is format a hdd to the ps4 if you havent already and go to settings storage and change install location to external. Unless you dont have a 3.0 usb laying around.

It works! I used the transfer tool to install yooka-laylee to external HDD formatted to PS4. Works perfect.

duno if its the same i use but for myself i use pkg sender https://mega.nz/file/XQ0ghAaB#YzxVb8LvZ93mHjd9brEqf3vdyoMBFLzOUINDCI3BFAw and work fine
