Lying doesnt help you, anybody with half a brain can see that you responded to people not quoting you and you responded between posts without any quote. All youre doing is trolling.

I'm sorry, but it's the internet. You have to take everything with a grain of salt; it's to be expected. You don't know them on a personal level so there's really not much trust to betray. You didn't have a working relationship besides for a RFQ (Request for Quote). Period. He wasn't a vendor you usually deal with and you never spoke to him previously otherwise.
You're making it way more than it should be; and even after blasting him last night, he tried to do good today and reason with you (seeing the timestamp on that text).

What are you trying to obtain from all this? Have him banned? I mean, you tried to smear his name for roughly 5-6 pages now and it has backfired on you with many people.
What's your outcome?
I have no objective, I have opinions about ethics that people called in to question. Like I said my account was “Pending Deletion” I expected to walk away and never look back. The only reason I signed back in was because of what I had to say about corporate ethics and the morals of capitalism. There is no ulterior motive here, I just felt the need to talk and vent some of this misdirected excitement. It started positive but ended up as this. I was looking forward to this day for awhile, this just happens to be the outcome.

I guess you can chalk it up as a learning experience.
Take your time, don't rush someone or you'll spook them and always try to haggle/continue with a business deal instead of quickly reacting because of feelings*.

*Be logical which will help a business deal and prevent you from lashing out very quickly.

Who the fuck asked you, Canada boy? Aren’t you late for your AMA in r/thathappened?

Awww you must have ran out of tissues. Tears running down your cheeks and neck because someone wont mod your switch.

Also god damn hilarious how you would expect anyone to do anything for you when you just go around insulting people.

No expectations or delusions of sympathy, like I said I have no desires. No games I want to play, no mod chips I want installed, nothing at all. Just misdirected excitement manifested as this shit. If I want to mod my system I will make that happen. It doesn’t matter, none of this does.

Full disclosure I have been sleeping every other day so I might just be going insane.
Hey just fyi, I was in the same situation as you.. I didn't hesitate and paid the price. I got my switch back in 5 days. You would be enjoying yours right now lol It's worth it, you get it and it's ready to go!

Good luck finding a better installer in the USA than @ModderFokker619 A+

So yeah...did yall see that Sandisk SD cards are on sale on Amazon today? Just re-bought my 512 extreme to return it, it was 20$ cheaper than the sale I thought I got of 99! Not bad!

I shamelessly bought the 1tb for $182... all time low and $77 off.

Comparing the 512gb extreme for $80 if I were to buy two of them I feel like it's a decent deal and at $0.18 per gig. :yayswitch:

@prophour Try owning a home, them maybe you will understand just a LITTLE of how quotes work.

"Yes, I have a tree I would like removed from my yard, how much is it?"
'We can do that for about $150 but we will need to come take a look'
Only when they get there, the tree's roots have gone underneath your concrete porch. Now suddenly the price is $1500 and then you would REALLY lose your mind!

He had absolutely NO IDEA how difficult the install would be back when he quoted you. Even I thought it would be fairly simple so I signed up to be a tester.

Here is the thing though: this install is HARD... like, REALLY HARD. It is incredibly easy to knock off a nearby component and totally wreck your Switch, and if you can't solder surface mount capacitors to replace them, or if you damage a non-replaceable component, you're screwed. I wouldn't do a SX install for less than $75 personally, the risk is huge and it is not a fun project. The Lite is even worse and takes many more risks with the install.

The fact is, he quoted you a lower price because we all thought it would be easy, but it's not. He has to contribute his time, his resources (solder, flux, wear on his soldering iron, microscope, cleaning supplies, thermal paste), and a small amount of insurance per unit in case he really screws up an install and has to replace an entire Switch. He also has to deal with customers and shipping, plus customer after-care when they do something dumb and come complaining to him that it's the install causing the problems. On top of this all, he has a huge demand that he can't fill, so as an opportunistic American, he has the freedom to increase his prices due to demand-- which is how our ENTIRE economy functions.

You need to listen when many people say you are barking up the wrong tree. Get a quote on literally anything major in life and it is subject to change, even with a signed agreement-- tree removal, car repair, kitchen remodelling, surgery, the list goes on and on...

I used to be a contractor, you need to learn the difference between an estimate and a quote.

I know you are lying based on this response. Ask anyone that does a large project. You can sign a quote but that doesn't mean it will be your final cost (due to various reasons).

Semantics aside, he gave you an "estimate" because he didn't know the scope of the work involved. So there.

Good lord, I ordered a modchip and in the meantime until it arrives I try to keep up with any updates/info/warnings from the people that installed it and use it, try to learn about any possible issues and options and on top of that I have to sift through pages and pages of DRAMA about an installation quote. Someone ban him, mute him or move his posts to a separate post, this is about sx modchip installation not world justice FFS.

its safe to update to it but if you dont use the sigpatches i posted in the "compatible tools for mariko" thread in the same forum section.
then games wont run because they require sigpatches.
if not just wait till sxos update that will fix that by default
Hi @squee666 , can you send the link to that discussion as the only one I found was the "SX Core Mariko list of non-compatible tools".
tnx.
