You need to make sure http://u.wiidb.de/ works, since that's the exploit Injexiine will use.

Next time, follow the guide.

Well I figured when they said you could use your browser exploit of choice this is what they meant.

But I don't see why http://u.wiidb.de/ wouldn't work if I had the payload.elf file in the right place. There's got to be something else missing.

FSOpenFile failed usually means it's missing, or there's something wrong with the SD card. Reformat the SD card as FAT32, or use a different SD card, and try again.

OK. I'll give this a try.

replace index.html by the Indexiine html file. (its a slightly modified version of exploit_WORKING.html from JsTypeHax)

I'm worried this fucked me up. Theoretically, if reformatting the card works and I can load HBL from u.wiidb.de, then I could run ftpiiu everywhere and put the original index.html file back replacing the indexiine one?

As long as you can enter the Homebrew Launcher using any web exploit, you should be able to restore the backup.

You are saving my ass right now. I reformatted and was able to launch HBL. But my problem now is that my wiiu/apps/mocha only has one file mocha.elf. But i remember from my install before reformatting that there were three files in the wiiu/apps/mocha folder. Now when I launch HBL it just says "mocha/mocha.elf" where mocha used to be can I find the files that need to be in the mocha folder?

Ok I have mocha working but now ftpiiu_everywhere is not. I can't access the wii u's file system. I can only see the sd card on the ftp server. I'm running it with mocha. I think I might have installed ftpiiu everywhere wrong. Here's what I did:

1. I downloaded this https://github.com/dimok789/ftpiiu/releases/ and extracted to wiiu/apps/ftpiiu_everywhere (should I have left the folder named wiiu/apps/ftpiiu?).
2. I launched the homebrew appstore and installed ftpiiu_everywhere (do i need to do this?)

stangely I had two copies of ftpiiu_everywhere in HBL, neither worked.

Do I need Fix94 of ftpiiu_everywhere?

You need this version:
https://github.com/dimok789/ftpiiu/releases/tag/v0.4

You should launch Mocha and then run the Homebrew Launcher channel from the home menu.

Edit: With respect, you've gone so far off book that I don't even know what you're trying to accomplish anymore, and I don't know what all you have done to your Wii U.

Ok I got it fixed. Thank you for being so patient with me, you really saved my ass.

Essentially I tried to install Indexiine like you suggested but it was over my head but I had already replaced the index.html in my system files with the custom indexiine one. I was able to replace it with the original index.html thanks to you. I think I'll just stick to browser exploit for now.

One last question before I go, and this is purely cosmetic, but now in my HBL mocha no longer has a custom icon it just shows the file path to mocha.elf. As shown in the attached picture, but before it had an icon like the other two apps. Any idea what caused it to disappear? Is it just because wiiu/apps/mocha only has mocha.elf in it?

if you mean on the sd card, it's in the mocha folder. I don't know where to get one on the net. mine has none.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

just thought of this. here's the homebrew store for the pc: https://apps.fortheusers.org/wiiu/mocha

Just out of curiosity, what does the meta.xml file included in wiiu/apps/mocha do? Is it necessary?

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
You got a good chance of buying a used one and asking the seller how often they used or even ask for a Pic of fw and telling them not to update

Speaking of PLaystation. I see Evilnat put out a beta for PS3 CFW 4.91.2 on the 22nd.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Don't really see the point in updating it tbh
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right, I thought about updating my PS3 CFW to 4.91, but why really, everything plays fine now. I guess for people that have already updated past 4.9 it would be helpful.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Idk if online servers are still active that would be my only thought
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Thats true, personally I don't play it online at all, in fact, I deleted all wifi details on it once I installed CFW, so it won't connect and auto-update itself
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I play most games that are on both PS3/360 strickly on the 360, but PS3 exclusives are really only games I play on the PS3 (You know me, I'm more of a Xbox junkie)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Ps3 really has no titles worth going online
