Last I checked, this game runs terribly in Citra, even on a beefy PC. This was back when USUM were running full speed on modern PCs for the first time.

It still runs terribly.

It runs good in my laptop. 40-60 fps. With Intel hd5500 graphics. There is a cheat code for better performance. The only issue is blurry cut scene and battels. But inside caves or dens work as usual. And I already played this game 3 times. So, I remember the cut scenes. It doesn't matter if it's blurry or not.

Heyo!

I would very much love a copy of that final 1.3 release. I am working on putting together a LayeredFS guide for a friend so that they can remove the patch when they want to do the battle tower and not get hit with the floor 3 bug.

If anyone has a copy I would really appreciate it. Floating copies are mixed in with the 1.3 patch+DLC into a single .cia and would be a nightmare to separate it all out.

Hey @Ender0flare Definitely not possible. Not a thing as they are region locked games. MHS USA and MHS JP might as well be two different games in the eyes of the software. Trying to shove a backed up save of your US edition into the JP edition would not work.

@Ender0flare Sorry I was right that simply popping your save from one into the other would not work however it seems there are rumors of work done on a converter to take a USA region save and make it into a Japan region save. I either saw this in a Gamefaqs Q&A or reddit. I think the former. You might have to do some digging!

We have put a lot of work into this, even tho it's incomplete.

If you enjoy this fan translations, please support the devs by purchasing the Western localized version, which releases this fall!

Because the localized game doesn't have all the content from the Japanese one.

Yes, sadly, the contents that come with version 1.3 is never coming overseas from Japan, not even for the mobile versions of the game.

To work on Citra, you do this:
1 - Download the patch CIA (Page 1) and extract it.
2 - Open Citra.
3 - Right click on Monster Hunter Stories (jp) game icon and click on Open Mods Location.
4 - Paste the files: romfs and code inside the 000400000016E100 folder.
5 - Done.

Hi! I know it's been nearly a year but I have the patch files in hand. Also, MHST works perfectly in citra now thanks to Zeus Iota's build. All the blurs are gone. I'll leave a zip file here:
