Webcomic Temper Tantrums joke submissions thread

Maybe Tempy looking at some of the more SSBU spirits and finding himself (or @Costello) as one. But we already confirmed Tempy for Smash 5, that might be stale.

I got this one in the middle of the night and laughed out loud:
You know how there was a huge joke about how you could turn a Wii game into a GameCube game by cutting off the outer edge? What if You could do the same thing to DS games to turn them into Switch games? I´m going somewhere with this, just trust me: Tempy is surfing online and finds that Wii to Gamecube meme, then gets thinking. He takes a copy of WarioWare: Touched! and takes a buzz saw or a knife or something and trims the edges off. He then struggles to jam the new game into his Switch and boots it up. The next panel shows him doing a thumbs-up as WarioWare: Ouch is loaded.

Do you get it? I thought it was pretty funny.

Okay...here's a small one that might work in comic form (I got the idea while making this post).

A main banner with "The difference between a console gamer and a PC gamer".
The first panel (console gamer) shows Tempy heading for the games store, happily spending quite some money on a console. Perhaps him pointing to a stand containing a few games and a "exclusive to switchbox 4" banner on it.

The second (PC gamer) shows an alternate Tempy angrily grumbling at his computer monitor something in the lines of "No, I do NOT want to create YET ANOTHER free account to buy games from! "

Okay, so here's a template for a good, clean joke, for anyone who wants to draw a panel for it. No cussing please!

Take Your Breath (and Time) Away!
The year is 2014. An advertisement (in the form of a billboard) reads "Coming soon - Breath of the Wild".

2015. Same ad. Some young, down on his luck nerdy guy comes and comments "I really look forward to that game."

2016. Same ad. Nerdy guy comes by and says "Well, what's taking so long?!?"

Early 2017. Billboard now reads "Out now! Breath of the Wild! Play on Wii U and Switch." The same nerdy guy sees it and says "Wow! I've gotta go get that game!" But he realizes he doesn't make enough cash to get it, so he says, "Well, I'll wait"

Six months later. Billboard reads "DLC available. Breath of the Wild!" Nerdy guy comes, stares, and says "What the heck? This is still being promoted?!?"

2018. Billboard reads "See 'The Making of Breath of the Wild' today on YouTube!" Nerdy guy sees it and, a little miffed, complains "Don't they have other games by now?"

2019. Billboard reads "Breath of the Wild merchandise now available at Walmart and Target!" Nerdy guy mutters under his breath "I hate this stupid game. I'm never gonna buy it."

Give a simple Tempy to 3 companies - Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. Leave him to them for a few years to see how he changes. They do Tempy like they do their controllers - Nintendo makes radical changes all the time (arm on head or something), Sony goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and changes the color or adds minor features and Microsoft does some small improvements to the overall structure/layout.

Ps. If you were like, "WTF! I put in work!", my apologies, I wanted to put profile pictures of a lot more (D0ke, Cell9, Aurora etc,), but I'm using Paint--there are many limits you can (not) exceed.

Here's a idea: First panel is tempy browsing GBAtemp then rechecks and so on looking for a new comic. After being psyched out in some way for some reason he then goes to GBATemp headquarters and comes out wearing a Lion's mane and Sonic's shoes.

Probably not the best delivery but any variation would probably do. I didn't put much thought into it cause it would be a waste if it weren't selected haha.

Eh, considering how ten years ago you could still find GBA micros on sale because game stores couldn't get rid of the darn thing, I don't think the joke works.

Heck the Switch is a portable console and is huge.

It's more of a joke on the Game Gear Micro and the bunch of tiny/keychain retro handhelds we've had recently.

How about tempy getting unknowingly connected with wires. Then his eyes go black the show a hello world. Idk where this goes after this but maybe he gets loaded up with tempy backups or something.

Or tempy is being asked to play by another character but denies the offer. Then the punchline panel is tempy being hacked
