Hacking Why don't these gba roms start?

Whenever I start most gba roms this screen pops up instead of loading the rom. Any ideas? Also I have had a lot of questions and you guys have been very helpful thanks!

I thought it might be the fact that I am using a dsi xl but some of them do open and run well.

R4 can't load GBA games. The GBA feature in DS flashcarts is designed to work with a slot-2 flashcart on OG DS/DS Lite. The DSi doesn't have a slot-2.
On a DSi, pretty much your only option is using GBARunner2 with your flashcart.
