Dude what? This is one of the easiest modchips I have ever seen for any console ever (except the solderless Xecuter 2.6 and Xenium for the original Xbox maybe). The Lite is a little bit more complex, but the Mariko version is super easy to install with a little practice. Did you really expect it to be solderless? Or a dongle like with the V1 Switch? Can you do better? Probably not.

Also, your entire post makes no sense. If you don't have the skills and tools to install it, don't do it. Hire a professional.
Fix: ~~~That’s right, seek help from professional when it’s not a simple task.~~~

it's good if you don't care about the license
but if you want SXOS then the chip is really only $20 i don't think it will be much less than that if it gets cloned and sold without SXOS licence

Gratz you quoted potential dmg with static which would that some extreme bad luck and conductivity to cause.

I see august has never heard the term grounding even though its even partially mentioned in that quote and its whole purpose is to negate what he mentions.

But hey he can just derail the thread 3 times over about how pirating nintedo is good, then about how the mod is too hard since he could static, then to about how hes never gonna touch his switch and a random story about why classic games are good.

keep going how all your posts are "high grade contents"

It's fine I think he means the 50 dollars you paid, 20 from the chip and the rest for the license, but it's fine.. 50 is the normal price for this product.. I saw some stores selling it for almost 70 euros

Seriously this mod chip is a pain in the ball to install, you are basically tear down every corner of the rig just a snap in some mod, boy the switch is very fragile item, you got to be very gentle, very gentle definitely not to the point of drill a hole here and hope nothing will happen, tweezer some micro meter precision plate and also in a room full of dust and potential unwanted static charges, rubbing them with some alcohol and poke then with a heat gun, then you do all of the with BARE HAND because you’re so proud of how clean your hand is because you apply hand sanitizer every single hour in the name of virus elimination, but it doesn’t make your hand safe to touch the very delicated small chips on the switch, every single small move you do to the lovely PCB would only do more harms, if you’re PHD in EE engineering, you would never ever allow anybody to repair the computer you build, you would make sure to lock the computer every single corner, seal every single hole to airtight, glue the crap out of the computer with the 3M military grade indestructible strong bonding structural superior to nuclear attack, so that no dust no statics or brutal force, no pressure, no air, no water, no animal, no vermin, no human can get their nasty hand inside into computer, this is the supposedly the recommended computer working operation environment, not about working temperature, not about working power supply, not about humidity, not about ambient pH.

I beg of you stop asserting more harms to the computer. Stop designing some mods that’s so horrible to install, after watching all the dead Switches which owners doesn’t even brother to wipe it clean of dust after each gaming session, we can’t no longer accept more dead Switches to come that’s a result of negligence behaviour, the unpassionated, and beta product that barely hold thing together, and ended with lot of more dead Switches. Unacceptable!

Now this is some funny shit :)

using a $5 30w soldering iron which can only go mx at all times

meanwhile i have a £8 usb soldering iron that maxes out at 8W and has an actual toggle to turn it off,

but yeah his solder iron and flux application/solder were a nono it was heavy and was forcing him to constantly heat the caps
