I'm so late....I've trying to find Ring Adventure for the past couple weeks. It's sold out everywhere. I was so focused on getting Fitness Boxing for the Mrs. Looked on eBay & Amazon price are ridiculous.
Anybody know the reason why it's sold out? It was release Late 2019 & already sold out? Is it due to panademic? Nintendo doesn't say anything on their site if there will be more.

Stock was already crazy low to begin with because Nintendo just likes watching people fight on eBay for their stuff I guess. (amiibo too lol). Then when the pandemic hit, everything went even crazier, because there was a big demand for it with everyone stuck inside. That’s when the scalping began.

I know Europe is supposed to be getting more stock, iirc? But for now, I dunno, you’re likely going to have to shell out for it. Especially the ring.

It trickles into stock here (UK) at various shops and I think we had a big stock update last month, when I got mine from Amazon, loads of retailers here got stock at the same time.

I've seen a lot of people on reddit buying from https://www.fnac.com/, as they ship to the US and seem to get a decent amount of stock every so often.

Maybe NOA just sucks.

Christmas rush + pandemic horde + lockdown boredom + it's actually a fun game = sold out everywhere.

It's worth keeping an eye on a few stock alert sites - that was how I managed to get one.

There is a digital version, but the game cannot be played without the ring con, which can be purchased separately.

I was wondering about the digital-only too, as I've seen the Ring and Strap controller, ready for joy-con insertion (good knock off) in several places much like we did for all the Wii crap: Wii Tennis rackets etc...

So if digital DL were available, who needs NoA Bait & Wait.

I watched stockinformer and nowinstock like a hawk, and got one through stockinformer, but I don't know if these sites work for US stores.

Edit: apparently they track US stores too!

https://www.stockinformer.com/ and https://www.nowinstock.net/

Thanks. Doubt there will be in stock any time soon & Amazon/eBay are out of the question since they're from 3rd party sellers.
What store did you obtain yours from?

Good old Aamzon actually! But you have to be quick - it sold out pretty much straight after my order.

How long it took you to get your hands on one?

Around 2-3 weeks I think. I saved a few sites into a bookmark folder and opened all links every now and then. Stock seemed to be distributed in batches so if one store suddenly had it in stock, a few other stores might have stock too - this isn't guaranteed, of course. Just have to keep checking!

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
