Hello

i did everything like it says on 3Ds.guide but when i am in frogminer and try to boot ,,boot9strap" like it says in the 3Ds.guide it shows a green screen (the boot.nds file is on the roof of the sd card) . I watched some videos on youtube and there the green screen doesnt appeared. I am on firmware 11.9.0-42E (Germany) and have a New 3Ds XL.

Do you have emunand on this sd card? (If you can get the total size of the card reported by windows, then I could tell you).

I'm having the same issue with my old 2ds 11.9. I follow the exact steps on ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) but after I paste, I get that green/cyan screen.

i fixed the problem.

Be sure, that the boot.nds is on the root of the sd card. If it is an it still comes to a blue/cyan screen do these steps
1. Cop the files of your sd card to a folder on your desktop to keep them safe
2. Format your sd card with a program (download one from the internet)
3. After that check, if your sd card is fat32 (if nor, download a program to fix it like
exFat to fat32 converter)
4. Put everything back on the sd card

After these steps it should work

Guiformat is the only program which you need in this case. Not any converters from...to...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

And make sure that your SD card is formatted with mbr. Not gpt.

Had the same issue. This also worked. Not sure why though. I was definitely fat32 already. but a clean format did the trick after several green screen freezes kept occurring.

First off. if you have no idea what you are reading, then hacking your console would be out of the question.

Second. This is a 3ds forum, not a DSI one.

Third. This thread was from 2018. You would of been better making a new thread about your issue.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card

Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
