Nintendo Switch Online NES/SNES games for May 2020 revealed

It's been a while since we last got some classic retro titles added to the Nintendo Switch Online library. Next week, subscribers will see four new-old games added to the service, three Super Nintendo games and one original Nintendo Entertainment System game. On the NES front, you've got Rygar, a 1987 sidescrolling platformer, while the SNES lineup includes Wild Guns, Panel de Pon, and Operation Logic Bomb. These games will be available to play on May 20th.

compare first party games xbox is toilet

Depends on the taste I own Xbox One and PS4 . I love Forza alot better than Grand Turismo and I love playing State of Decay. I like the exclusives on Xbox One and PS4. I just don't like Sony customer service and business model. Sony make great games and exclusives but their incentives are terrible.

For the switch who seriously even play the SNES/NES online ? So much retroarch so much emulators that are better idk why people are upset with this... It's only $20 a year for the service the incentives are not the best but for the price of online+cloud+ and a few SNES/NES it's a good deal. I pay $180 a year for game pass ultimate so compare $20 to $180. Remember Nintendo isn't really innovative they going to sell you and recycle the same Mario/Pokemon/Zelda games that's what they been doing for 30 years atleast for Sony and Xbox they brought new games to the table over the years.

PlayStation Network used to be free. It totally should have stayed free.
basically all of them are paid now.
the stuff like phone-based voice chat, nes/snes online and all that? that's basically the bonus for it becoming a paid service.
and at the price it is (less than two bucks a month if you get it for a year), it's pretty worthwhile.

You had me in the first half, not gonna lie.
Innovation is Nintendo's middle name. They've been bringing "new" to the table for decades.
Pokemon hasn't had as much innovation, but take that up with GameFreak and the Pokemon Company.
Especially with the Switch, Nintendo's been pulling "new" out of nowhere constantly. Just look at Mario Odyssey and Zelda BOTW (I know, it started on the Wii U, blah blah blah) and tell me that those are the same old games as the ones before them.

Nah.

I hate paying for online multiplayer. I have never bought PS+ but I had it for around a year when someone else bought it.

I want to buy a PS5 but this has reminded me of another reason to go down the PC patch and ditch consoles altogether.

Ah shit.. so I have to pay to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online??! I was going to buy a Switch when Swith+ came out. *shake my head* now I find it hard to justify doing that.

If you hav around a grand spare then go for it
I actually do you know.

You can do it for quite a bit less than 1000 though if you do not mind not necessarily playing the latest games, or at least not at highest settings.

You either go big on a pc or stick with the ps5 -if plan not playing on high settings then it seems pretty pointless

I personally feel Mario is Nintendo bloodline they cant live without Mario this is what I mean. Microsoft/Sony can kill an exclusive and just replace it Nintendo cant replace Mario , Zelda , Pokemon. Without those 3 Nintendo isn't Nintendo.

I am not sure if Microsoft would kill Halo.

I agree about Sony, though. They can kill Uncharted and they will be fine.

Nintendo need to think about the future... One day Mario will not be cool anymore and Pokemon too they may find it lame. What will Nintendo do as a backup since they invested so much time into the big 3 I personally feel this will be Nintendo downfall. I don't see Microsoft/Sony struggle but Nintendo this is going to hit them with a curve ball because children mind change all the time and thier brand is geared towards children. I always known the switch to be considered as a "family" system. PSP only failed because it wasn't geared to kids compared to the DS. (Japan love PSP)

Nintendo isnt the leader anymore I guess Sony is (I hate to say that but it's facts) But Microsoft is catching up and Nintendo is trailing behind everything Nintendo do is half complete that's why they can only offer you $20 a year Just look at those prices for 3 year old games that is ridiculous and outrageous

Nintendo will one day go the way of Sega. I am sure.

They have already caved in and released games on Android and iOS. Actual Mario games.
