Hacking Priiloader 0.9 Released!

I have figured out the problem @DacoTaco and I don't believe it had anything to do with previous issues.

Even after saving hacks it did not work.

Then, I realized I was still using the hacks_has.ini from the 0.8.2 release. I went into github and grabbed the proper file, put it on my SD, uninstalled and reinstalled Priiloader, enabled hacks, and they all work perfectly now. Thanks for the help.

despite me rewriting the hacks parser, the hacks file should be backwards compatible.
unless you had a broken hack in the old hacks file, it should have worked though.

I don't know. I assumed it might be because of the fact that the new hacks file has a bunch of new hacks in it that my old one didn't have.

thats now how things work man. its not because hacks get added that it'll suddenly work.

did, or didn't you try the steps i mentioned previously before you replaced the hacks file and saved in menu?

If you mean going into the menu (before changing the hacks file to the correct one), verifying all hacks are correct, and saving settings, I did try that, no effect.

I've successfully updated one Wii (not mine) but with my Wii, I'm experiencing the same issues as DaWiiMaster with the health screen options. I've downgraded, checked to make sure those hacks worked again, then went into the settings to download the beta and tried again, still had the issue with the health screen. I'm on 4.1U, upgraded from Priiloader 0.8.2.

You've mentioned a few different logs you would like. Is this what you would need from me:

@AzzidReign, no need for that test anymore, but could you verify if installing the dol i send below works for you?

if it doesn't, please dump /title/00000001/00000002/data/hackshas.ini from your wii so i can take a look

when looking at that log, it seems my change did kill the bug. i guess some wii's/sd cards handle the reading past EOF differently.

either case, please try to install priiloader with the following dol

if the hack works now, i suggest @AzzidReign also tries it.
i'll make a new beta release once its confirmed working (since this is a breaking bug)

where does it say this?
how and in what application are you loading the setup? is the setup youre speaking off the dol i linked?

i can tell by the messages alone that this is probably not started from HBC or priiloader and that it wants to show the priiloader main menu...

So, I am loading the application trough the HBC on the Wii
And the message shows after I click the load button in the HBC
Also, I used the .dol file that was in the zip archive I downloaded from the Priiloader GitHub (from like 3 or 2 months ago or something)

so what youre loading is not the setup i linked.
i see what youre loading now and that is not what you need... ( youre loading the loadpriiloader demo aren't you )

go to https://github.com/DacoTaco/priiloader/releases/tag/0.9b3 and get the boot.dol there or build priiloader yourself with the source you retrieved ( though i don't recommend it, things changed in the past few months... )

ok so, the magic word thing has been fixed (and thank you for that)
but
it shows this error now:
IOS36 isn't ES_Identify patched -error -1017

Does it mean that I maybe patched the IOS wrongly?

thats probably because the other hacks have not been tested or ported to the wii mini system menu.

these can be tested by yourself ( in emunand or dolphin !!! ) by changing the 'maxversion' of the hack you want to try to your system menu version ( 4609 or 4610 ? ) , but its best to verify them with the actual system menu binary before testing them.
i don't have any wii mini system menu data so i can't verify the hacks myself at the moment

Is there a way to dump a nand.bin (and console keys) without using bootmii? Without phisical Keys i cannot operate bootmii and without an sd card hackmii won't install it too. I tested wiind and another tool (realnandwii or something like that) without success.

can you use something like a nand extractor or https://wii.guide/dump-wads.html to only dump the system menu to usb ?

wii mini hacks are fixed, for those that were keeping track.
there is one that gives a black screen, but i suspect it to be the case with all system menu versions

Hi, I'm in a really bad situation and been working all day on fixing it! I have a Wii with homebrew channel however I don't have Priiloader installed or bootmi or any thing to bypass the menu. The problem is that both my Wii remotes stopped working and since I'm quarantined I don't have access to another Wiimote. So is there any possible way to run the installer for preloader directly on my computer to install it on the SD card directly. Because without a wiimote I cannot navigate the system menu to go to HBC in the first place to install Preloader. It's kind of like a vicious circle... Is there any way to lauch Preloader without having it installed beforehand, or any other to access HBC without a wiimote?? Please help me!
