Hello TWiLight Team.:)

Unfortunately

- KORG DS-10 Plus US TID:VKGE
Stays on two Black Screens.
(Two White Screens with HEAP SHRINK - OFF)

Did not work with the latest Update v14.0.0 and nds-bootstrap v.0.33.0 on both of my Flashcards.

The standard Versions of KORG DS-10 (EU & US) works on both Flashcards.
All THREE Version works on the modded DSi´s.:)

Thank you.:)

I now have a problem with GBArunner.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

After updating, the rom just doesn’t allow text boxes to spawn, stays on two black screens when booting up, or crashes.

If you focus on the blue dragos, you can see that it is still breathing, indicating that the game is still processing, but the text box isn’t coming out from the mole cricket.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I realized the game stays on the black screen due to skipping the bios intro.

Mother 3 is a game that doesn't work yet. It will always soft lock at that point. Hopefully it will be fixed at some point. Check the compatibility list to know which games work and not. Also, this regards gbarunner2 and not twilightmenu, which is a frontend you can use to launch it.

I noticed in the new nds-bootstrap v0.33.0, you mention that you can use any SDK5 donor rom but the new AP patches for Apanman and Layton won't as they're also arm7 dependent, so I think it is best that you state that the donor rom must be Wipeout (USA) (BWOE) as that is the rom I tested and made the new ap-fixes using the arm7 from that game and it was the donor rom I used to test. Just thought I should mention it, so you don't get complaints saying 1 of those SDK5 games don't work.

Regards,
Retro
For both games, it seems to work with any SDK5 game as donor ROM for me.
I tried:
  • Doctor Who: Evacuation Earth (same arm7 binary from Wipeout)
  • Sonic Colors (arm7 size of 0x2642C)
  • USA version of Layton (arm7 size of 0x26488)
EDIT: So yup, not all SDK5 games will work as donor ROM. :P
I've edited the nds-bootstrap release notes to say that Bookworm is the recommended Donor ROM, as it's a known smallest SDK5 ROM, and also uses the same arm7 binary as Wipeout.

I've got another dumb question: Is there any way to launch SNES roms from the menu with lolSNES instead of SNEmul? I noticed lolSNES in the emulators directory, so I thought I might as well ask.

It was originally going to be used, but the feature was scrapped.

Oh,by the Way,the RIGHT Marker/Cursor on the TWLMenu Settings Menu gets "unsynchronized with the LEFT Cursor/Marker when you scroll down.

Thank you for your Update,Team TWiLight Menu.:yay:
From what I remember that right cursor marker was changed to not give the same exact position as the left as it was redundant to have two showing the same thing. Not sure what it shows now but my guess would be the relative position of the left cursor (?).
The right "cursor" is now a scroll bar, as originally intended.

OK.......now I "get it".You don't want to know what I have tried a few Seconds before.............:rofl2:
I have used the Stylus and tried to move it up and down, but surprisely it did not work....:rofl2:

Thank you.:D

From looking at this thread, I found out my flash card (an R4i gold 3ds rts) isn't compatible with Twilight Menu, both as a slot 1 launch and on the card itself, which really sucks as I wanted to take advantage of the increased sound quality/increased clock speed. Is there a version of Twilight Menu or some similar homebrew that does support this card, or am I SOL for now?

If you're on a DSi, you can try changing the Slot-1 launch method to Unlaunch, but sadly, as a result, you can only use the increased sound quality.

Hi guys, ran into a problem in Pokemon Black 2 after I updated TWL earlier. Whenever I tried to transfer a Pokemon into a box the game crashed and a blue screen with "an error occured please turn off" popped up. Music still played in the background though. I removed TWL and reinstall it to test and the same thing still happened.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I was on 3DS. The direct launching mode gives me a white-screen error, and reboot gives me a generic "An error has occured, shut down" message. With no Unlaunch on 3DS, I guess it's back to crunchy audio for me lol

Unlaunch cannot be installed onto a 3DS.
Unless you're trying to run a specific game, why not run the ROMs from the SD card?

I got the Twilight Menu to work but it won't run GBA or SNES roms
This so my first time doing anything like this on a DS so it's likely I just messed something up along the way. When I click on GBA games it asks for a GBA BIOS, which I found one online but I'm not sure if I have to put it somewhere specific for it to work or if I just need to put it on the SD Card-
Would really appreciate any help because quarantine is getting to me and I need games to distract myself-

For GBA the bios needs to be named 'bios.bin' and be at 'sd:/bios.bin', 'sd:/gba/bios.bin', or 'sd:/_gba/bios.bin' and should match the checksums on the WikiTemp page.
For SNES its likely that the game you're trying to play simply isn't compatible, from what I understand SNEmulDS's compatibility isn't the greatest. Also fyi it also can't save (or savestates) for anything when run through TWiLight due to being run in a RAM disk to be more like a Slot-1 flashcard.

The main one that didn't work was a link to the past, but it wasn't a .sfc it was .smc
If i change it manually from .smc to .sfc will it work?
Also I checked a .sfc game, Earthbound, and it didn't work either.

Also I put the gba bios in the right place but now it says "Star failed. Error 1 nds-bootstrap (Release) not found." is that a file I have and just need to move or do I need to download it? (I checked and I have it, but it doesn't have quotations around release)
That's also the error I got when trying to load any SNES roms

You need to extract the files from the 'DSi&3DS - SD card users' folder from the TWiLight 7z, specifically you're missing 'nds-bootstrap-hb-release.nds' in 'sd:/_nds' which is the nds-bootstrap file for homebrew.

May I ask please, which Version is your TWiLight Menu/nds-bootstrap ?
You can determine it,when you press SELECT and choose "TWLMenu++ Settings".
This brings you into TWLMenu Settings Menu and on the upper Screen you will ses the Version Numbers.

Yes,you can rename it to .sfc.:)

By the Way,how is your SD formatted and what Type is it please (microSD or Regular) ?

Thank you.:)
