Hacking I bricked my flashcart

I know that I will get told not to mess with something if its not broken but here I am. I was trying to install wood menu on the R4 SDHC 2013 and now when I put it in my DSi the game icon won't show up just like how the picture shows. Before anyone tells me, yes I did clean it with a q-tip and alcohol.

I also keep seeing these type of R4 carts (https://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=490) floating around. Is it ok to buy these and install ysmenu? I know they have time-bombs which is why I'm asking.

I'm with the shitty Chinese clone. But the 2019 version. Just some game could start without white screen when using stock fw and even with ysmenu. But I do format it with the soft recommended in the "how to" file and now every game works flawlessly with ysmenu. But I think you should buy the original @Shadow#1 gave in the link to avoid all the messy I been through. About me, I will stick with it and see because I have limited option at the moment (living in Vietnam, and that shitty cart is everything they've got in all shops).

Yeah, I was planning on buying the one he recommended because it has Wii support and possibly more access to DS Download Play (I had an issue with this flash cart that DS Download Play only worked on some games). Also because it supports the 3DS and that is the main console I use for playing DS games anyways.
