Hey I stumbled upon this homebrew game whilst looking for HL1 on 3DS. It feels a bit sluggish on my O3DSXL and the controls are trash, but I'm happy I can play HL1 on my 3DS. Initial installation was a bit of a hastle, as I had to mod the Uplink install with retail HL's files, but it was pretty easy. One question though, are mods like Opposing Force, Counter-Strike and TFC supported? If so, could you port them too please?

[EDIT: I'm aware of the Flying with Gauss team's attempts to port BS, CS16 & OP4 (incomplete but an .apk is on ModDB) onto Android & iOS.]

Here's a .3DSX build for Half-Life: Blue Shift.

I've added the required changes to the hlsdk_3ds and recompiled.

At least both the armorvest and helmet are functional in-game, some other features may not.

Use the .xml to launch the game.

I'm having an issue where I hit "new game" but none of the difficulties actually load the game, they just make a sound and don't do anything else. Is there a fix for this? I'm using O3DS and the steam version.

Make sure the "valve" folder is in "sdmc:/xash3d", and also make sure you have the extras.pak inside "sdmc:/xash3d/valve"

I had everything all set up correctly, just turns out that mine was missing files for some reason. It works great now that I aqquired the missing files!

You can't finish the game with this. The elevator in the missile section of Surface Tension doesn't work.

They are pretty long but I've played half-life so many times that I can get through it without saving and reloading to much. I've also found a way to progress. I pushed the elevator button multiple times (and maybe holding it?) and got it to work somehow. So I guess you can finish it If I don't find any other problems.

Also is there a way to activate the console in this version?

It's cool, it's wonderful, but there's a lot of bugs.

Hope there is an update soon, with integrated opposing force and blue shift support. I doubt this cia/3ds even supports it.

Also, i hope they add more "touch buttons", because since i use an old 3DS, i am using the ABXY buttons for view and the bumpers for shooting.

I'm having problems compiling it. It gives me a link error related to -lmainui, -lclient and -lserver and how it can't find those libraries (I think). I have picaGL installed, but none of the other libraries. Is there a way to find and install these libraries, or am I missing something? Just in case I'm on Ubuntu 20.04

EDIT: I may ask on the homebrew development thread as that may be a better place to ask.

Hi, is there a way to use an xml shortcut with the half life game to use the console for more ammo etcI have b9 installed so installed the cia via fbi. I have looked for an exe in the valve folder but don't see anything for it to point to

Can it work with opposing force? I absolutely love that dlc, and the thought of playing it on the go is awesome!

Depending on how much you want it, you can compile it yourself. Look at my previous posts on this page. Same goes for Blue Shift, as the provided build does not reflect all required changes.
