Hi I'm currently trying to hack a console for my friend has a cechl01 original fat 60 gig console men version Checker says I can update to 1.00 base firmware every guide I find just seems to give me a run around with dead links does anybody have a current guide that is an obsolete

PS3xploit only supports 4.85 now. Your options are:

a. Update to 4.85 HFW, go to http://ps3xploit.com/, use the Flash Writer (install exploit), install CFW.

b. Update to 4.82 OFW, find and host on a server the older 4.82 PS3exploit files, go to host server website, install exploit, install CFW.

c. Use e3 Flasher to dump, modify, and flash OFW, install CFW.

d. Buy PS3 from Ebay with 3.56 OFW or lower, install CFW.

I have a cecha01 phat in 4.82 and every link to the old tools is dead and says use the 4.85 hfw

While you could possibly find 4.82 files from visiting URLs through archive.org or archive.is, it would not be worth it. The developers have made the exploit more efficient in the latest iteration, making the increased success rate cut down on the number of failed attempts significantly. I highly recommend updating to 4.85 to use the exploit.

Do i go 4.82>4.85 ofw to 4.85 hfw>4.85 rebug light?

4.85 HFW --> 4.85 Rebug. The HFW is just OFW with the 4.82 vulnerability.

They must have heard you apparently. On your PS3's web browser, go to https://www.ps3xploit.net/bgtoolset

It uses a new exploit so it can be done from 4.82-4.85 OFW directly with NO HFW needed.

I did the first way hfw and got the rebug lite on a cecha01 and then started a project n64 on ps3 branch of daedalus
