DuckTales Remastered is available digitally once more, after being delisted last year

When it comes to digital games, sometimes they can be delisted, usually due to the expiry of a license. That was the case for 2013's DuckTales Remastered, which was removed from the Nintendo Wii U eShop, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and Steam, in August of last year. Luckily, that wasn't the end for the game, as Capcom has just relisted it for sale again for all the available platforms it was on before. If you've still got your last-gen consoles laying around, recently dusted off your Wii U, or wanna try it out on PC, you can grab the game for $14.99.

While I'm happy it's back up for sale, some really stupid and irrational part of me is a little annoyed because as much as I like the game, I only really sprung to buy it when I found out it was going away. I'd always put off getting it until that happened. Yeah, I got it for really freaking cheap because they had lowered the price down to near-nothing when it was about to vanish, but I still only really got it because that was supposedly going to be my last chance.

Like I said, I'm not upset that I bought it, and it's a genuinely fun game that I enjoy playing. It just almost feels like a bit of a scam, like "Hurry up, it's going to be gone forever! Oh wait, no it isn't. Never mind." I know that isn't the case, and it's not like I regret buying it, it's just that in the back of my mind, that's what it feels like a little bit. I guess it's just that subconscious feeling of knowing I got something special that you can't get anymore, and now it's suddenly not special anymore, you know? Like I said, stupid and irrational.

I've already played this game to death back when it was a new old game but I'm glad see it back on the market, even if it is still locked on last gen hardware... What I REALLY want though, is the magical quest trilogy get this remaster treatment. Hear my plea Capcom and Disney and make this happen. You guys made so many great games for the snes and Genesis era that I'd like to see get a fresh coat of paint.
