After fugging around for hours, I have merged Falo's latest save editor with the changes in this commit by imouto1994 https://github.com/imouto1994/fe3h-editor/pull/1/commits/80bb3b8275be11002fb8ba8a439abb0d9b5fef93 and I think that battalion editing should work now :) As you can see, I have just created a new Essar Research Group battalion and it's showing up in my game.

I'm getting 'error has occurred' crashes when trying to edit in 'impossible' characters, specifically when I begin a battle. The error doesn't occur when I have Sothis as my only edited-in character (in slot [040]), but when I try to add in Kronya in slot [041], I always receive the crash. And that's even without Kronya in the deployed party

Maybe it's an issue with the way I'm creating characters. I export a character at their base stats, import into an empty slot, and then change the character ID. I've tried Kronya with multiple different character bases, with different abilities and classes, but can't seem to find one that works. AFAIK this was never a problem for me on the older updates and I played through the whole game without a crash

Anyone have any input on this issue? I've tried to use older pre-made character files from long ago, but they give me the 'wrong file size' error each time. If anyone has pre-made character files that work with 1.2.0, I'd be very happy to just use those

And this is without using any cheats. I'm using the newest version of SX OS if that helps. On FW 9.1.0. With the newest version of Falo's editor

Edit: Doesn't work with Cornelia either

Are you using the files for the injectable characters? If so, for some reason some of them work and others don’t. I was having that problem with Rodrigue. I can’t use him in battle cuz he’s sprite doesn’t show and when I try too it freezes my game and then I get a resulting crash. Jeralt, Sothis, Rhea, Gatekeeper, and Village Kid I have no issues with whatsoever.

Edit: if you go a couple pages back there is file that has the updated characters that can be injected, but most (not all) still crashes the game.

Check page 138 GamerJin posted them. And yea the sprite don’t even pop up for me it’s just invisible and if I try to use them in battle they freeze (don’t attack) and if I press a button it crashes the game for me.

If it's the sprite that's the issue, maybe you could export a character before the update and the exact same character after the update and look at the difference between them in a hex editor - maybe that's the sprite.

after update 1.2.0 and dlc wave 4 ,a lot of crashes now.

also lots of little cutscenes and char models or pictures dont load( just black screen while they talk like eat scenes) or load very slowly.

For those who freezing issue with the injectable characters, try put them at the bottom
i was helping a fellow gamer with the issue. at the time Kroyna was in slot 40, and was freezing at the battle scene. so i imported a blank slot over her, and import Kronya at the bottom, slot 59. save, restore, and was excepting a freez.......what?! it started?!

so i think the top 40 slot are "special reserve", see how on my save where she working, she was slot 41. but once i started a new game, and she in the top 40, she froze....
Now she in slot 59, and she didnt freeze...
oh, forgot to mention, i imported her from the char.zip in my post on page 138

Im now re-checking the others for the freezing glitch....

I started a new playtrough save and i found out that the Unlimited weopon/art/magic use was the culprit of my crashes, i had to start a completely new file with no unlimited weopons with no uses and btw this cheat makes some item drops dissapear and on some other maps it wont.

now i am usin exp,skill battle/room x2 , max class exp and unlimited matherials only and been playin 10 hours NO CRASH!!!!

dunno if this will help any1 Oo

You can make the weapons unbreakble with the editor.

Couldn't you just set weapon durability to 100, and give units the Infinite Magic ability, using the save editor? I really don't use the Unlimited Weapon/Magic Use cheat anymore because of this.

any chance you have a copy of the save that was crashing?
also, im confused as to how a pointer code that only works in battle otherwise it 0(, i checked it with sxos memory viewer) which mean the code cant work unless you're in a battle....
interesting point, you can separate the code into three separate part....

Awesome. I did a test run, and aside from a few battalions that were equipped to my units not saving the exp amount I gave them (which could honestly be and probably was user error, I went through every single one of my battalions in one sitting), no bugs. All the NG+ stuff still works, Abyss saved progress, etc.

Back on 1.0 i had some problems with quests when using infinite materiais and Gifts codes. Just bringing It to light.

Most of my crashs now were after battle and none of then on the side story.

If the exp doesn't work there's always the old boring way of manually levelling them hehehe. The super ghetto way is parking a unit with a rusted weapon on a bush and the battalion you want to level and singling out a healer on an auxillary battle and then just whacking the healer over and over again.
