Today, Nintendo has revealed a new Switch Lite colour[prebreak]1[/prebreak] for Japan:

Everyone will call it pink, but Nintendo says it's coral. Preorders open March 7th and so far there is no announcement for the US/EU.

That is not a rumour, is actually a fact that will affect many companies because their devices are maufactured in China lol.

I really doub it. It still amazes me the lack of support Nintendo has given to the Nintendo switch regarding customization with more Joy-Con variety and themes for the Switch Home Menu. The scene has proven that many fancy things are actually possible.

Well I would still guess that most switch lites are made in china, but I havent checked. Either way most tech does come outta there so most assume any big tech will go through there.

They are not producing new switch lites they are just taking the unsold ones , and changing them the exterior shell

Well the pink shells and packaging still have to be made somewhere, although at that point it really gets down to the small things.

I mean, if I found a deal for PS2 Slim pink I'd go for it as it looks really nice, cute and adorable. A pink Switch Lite isn't exactly for me (no TV Mode), but great idea Nintendo had.
