Hacking Worth updating CFWs?

My PSP is on 6.60 ME-2.3

Ive not really messed with it in some time. I see people are saying they use 6.61-Infinite now. What I want to know is if there is any reason at all to update? Plus, I really enjoy this Persona3 theme, and worry it wont work on different versions.

no reason to, no. you can spoof with the version.txt via the recovery menu option. I think not all plugins work for 6.60, so 6.61 isn't worth it unless you have to update for some reason.

Thanks for the quick replies. Did 6.61 Infinite offer nothing new? I tried looking, and it seems to just be a big deal for those who couldnt use a permanent cfw before, but my 1001 has been permanent for a while now... So unless there is something new and cool, I guess I'll stick with my current CFW.

infinity is simply a permanent solution for "unhackable" psp's such as psp3k and PSPgo and offers a permanent solution for those models.
in a fully hackable 1k or 2k unit you should never install infinity to begin with. even the developer stated so.

Do not install infinity on hackable psps.

No reasons to update but no reasons to not to either.

All plugins now support 6.6x, just 1 or 2 obscure jpn games require 6.61.

What changes is the cfw fixes and/or features
