What makes certain games work on only certain firmware, 8.1.0 for example. I am unpatched but on 9.1.0. Anything I could do to play games that state 8.1.0, they give me an error when trying to install. I know, buy the game, but I am a believer in try before buy. :)

Edit:
Figured it out. In case anyone else has this issue, the errors weren't because of my firmware it was because I had never installed any official titles. Once installing a few titles from the eshop, and then dumping keys with picklock, I am able to install titles that were previously unable.

Hey guys I had a car crash and my switch was in the car too and it ended in a pool of water, I got the switch out and dryed it out and it turned on and worked OK but now when I try to turn it on it either does nothing or or gets to the Nintendo logo and turns off, any idea on the best way to figure out what is wrong with it?

Hello, quick question here, i'm on 8.1 and want to jump to 9.1 with ChoiDujourNX is it necessary that I install all the update in between 8.1 and 9.1 or I just install the latest directly?

When you normally update any piece of hardware, does it make you install each update incrementally or does it automatically install the latest? That is the answer to your question.

my switch status:
- my nintendo switch system 8.1.0 (0.9.2 atmos)
- Auto RCM
- using fusee-primary.bin for inject payload using TegraRcmGUI

hi, is it right way to backup NAND?
- turn off nintendo switch
- NOT using fusee-primary.bin, BUT using hekate_cteaer_2_3.bin for inject payload using TegraRcmGUI
- then backup NAND?

so i don't have to add anything in folder switch right?

Hi all. Wondering if any one can shed some light on my issue. I bought a faulty swith that does not load games. I thought it would just be the cart reader.

So I have installed cfw on the device just like my other one that works fine.

This one tho does not. The stock and cfw both seem to boot ok but then as soon as I try to run a game cart or one on sd it starts to load then error has occured.

I have come to the conclusion now it may not be just the cart reader that is causing this issue.

Does anyone know what is possibly causing this problem? Is it hardware related or software?

Many thanks

I would use the latest Hekate but your process is corrent and you do not need to add anything to the Switch folder to backup your NAND.

thanks, already done for NAND Backup.

now i want to update system firmware (Offline) from 8.1.0 to 9.1.0 and CFW atmos from 0.9.2 to 0.10.2
my switch status:
- my nintendo switch system 8.1.0 (0.9.2 atmos)
- Auto RCM
- using fusee-primary.bin for inject payload using TegraRcmGUI
- NAND Backup already done

do i need update system firmware first? then update CFW?
here my steps is it right?
1. Update system firmware (Offline) first to 9.1.0 (still using 0.9.2 atmos with Auto RCM)
- Turn off Switch
- Copy update file system firmware 9.1.0 to folder 'FIRMWARE' in Nintendo Switch Card
- Using fusee-primary.bin for inject payload using TegraRcmGUI
- Then open ChoiDujourNX v1.0.1 , choose "FIRMWARE" folder
- Then choose 9.1.0 (exFAT) after that 'select firmware' to load firmware files
- Start installation, after finish choose 'reboot'
- Finish? (system firmware update success?)

2. Update CFW Atmos to 0.10.2
- Download atmosphere-0.10.2-master-d5458960+hbl-2.3+hbmenu-3.2.0.zip and fusee-primary.bin
- Turn off Switch
- copy all new Atmos files to Switch Card (Just Replace) so i'm not change anything
- after that, inject new fusee-primary.bin as payload
- Done?

is it right?

- Turn off Switch

I’m on multi boot (sys, emu and android) with autorcm anything special I need to do for updating sysnad? Or is it just click the update button in sysnand and reenable autorcm after?

If you want to avoid burning fuses, use the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX. If you don't care about fuses (which I don't really understand why since saving fuses is objectively better), you just update normally.

Tomorrow I'm buying a Switch

It's already on SXOS (installed on emunand)
400gb SD card
Original factory firmware 4.0.1

What's the first thing I should do after dumping and backupping my nand? Especially safety wise or in case I want to migrate to Atmosphere later on.

Dumping the NAND is pretty much the only necessary step no matter what CFW you use.

Hey everyone I'm completely new to switch hacking. Honestly I never knew it was even possible until a few days ago. I have a switch that I've had for a while. Haven't played with it to much, more of a xbox type of guy personally. It's a XAW4000200 running OFW 9.1.0. I already purchased a rcm loader after finding out that my switch is not patched. I would love to try to hack my switch but honestly I don't even want to attempt to try hacking until I learn more about what I am doing. My question being where would be the best start to learn hacking my switch, feeling rather overwhelmed, but I would love to learn. Can someone please point me in the direction. I was browsing the site and forums but I was to start at step 1. Please I know this probably has already been asked in the past, but I appreciate it just the same.

Thank You I hope to be a long lasting member of these forums
Peace ~KageShinobi~
