Now That Sounds Awesome! @MikaDubbz

Yeah, I think so too. Would also really love for 2 GBAs to be emulated at the same time in such a way, but considering how 2 Game Boy Color games don't quite run at full speed when loaded (Though still plenty playable) in retroarch on the Wii U, I'd have to imagine that doing the same for 2 GBAs would be too taxing, or would require some massive editing to a core to get it up and running. Heck, as it stands, I've not seen any cores that do offer 2 GBA games to run at once. But man I'd love that, so many great multiplayer GBA games that go largely unrealized in this day and age.

Is there any way to use the Sameboy core's 2 player gameboy link mode to have only one game show on the TV and the other to only show on the Gamepad? If not, is there any way that this could be implemented? I love that we can load 2 Gameboy games at once. Me and my buddy are going to go back and play Red and Blue at the same time with the Wii U, but it'd be really cool if just one of us can play with the whole TV and the other can just play on the Gamepad. Having them both play side by side is fine, but it is less than ideal.
The definitely sounds feasible, but Retroarch doesn't really have unique game pad support as it is. The text in the user interface is slightly blurry and distorted shrunk down to the game pad's 480p, so I think they would have to implement more than the simple screen mirroring that Retroarch uses now first.

It seems to offer some Gamepad support though. Like the Scummvm core can recognize when you're touching the touch screen (though it's not working properly at this time, and they don't seem to be interested in fixing it, but the cursor jumps to the center when you touch it).

So the Beetle psx emulator and Parallel N64 emulator got a dynarec, but I read it's mostly x86 related. So does that mean anything for us?

Well, it means that it exists, and it existing means that it can be ported to PPC.TThis is huge because neither beetle nor parallel had a dynarec to begin with

Beetle PSX already has an alpha build for the Switch with the dynarec.
As for Parallel's, I believe m4xw is working on implementing the plugins from Parallel into main Mupen64 Next, and the same applies for the Switch version.

As for the WiiU...
Well, that's hard to say.
There are very few WiiU developers still around, and I'm not sure if @QuarkTheAwesome is still interested in porting over the dynarecs from Beetle PSX and Mupen64 over to work on WiiU.
Most devs have moved over to Switch. It's a shame, as the WiiU had great potential to become the all-in-one Nintendo platform with emulation.

Yeah and I highly doubt the RA devs give a damn about the Wii U port anymore, because the Switch takes precedence because reasons. I'm cynical of Wii U development because of that, I have zero faith.

in other words, it'll be a very cold day in hell before Wii U gets dynarec support.

Not this shit again, please.

Its what he does basically.
Yeah I know. I think we are all bummed that WiiU development is slow for everything but the thing sold 13 million units worldwide, the homebrew community is exponentially smaller than that. If all someone cares about are emulators there are much better options than trying to derail this thread and the PPSSPP thread repeatedly.
