Hi everyone! I recently discovered my R4 Dual Core 2015 (not sure if its real) ? I'm new to this whole R4 stuff since yesterday so I'll try to explain:

Can't remember how old this thing is but I'd say it's a few years old, it holds like 180 games on this thing. One of these was a Pokemon White ROM along with an old save file, but for some reason within around 5 minutes of playing or so the game would just freeze. I decided to delete the game instead and download a new Pokemon White ROM, at first the game worked perfectly but after some time with booting the game from the start and playing it, it suddenly froze after around 30 minutes of gameplay? The other games worked perfectly fine without freezing up so I don't understand why the ROM froze up after replacing it?

Anyone know how to fix this? I'm not experienced yet with using firmware/CFW yet but I'll try my best.

I've tried putting a 4GB Kingston into the same cartridge but it just ends up with the white screen with 'MENU?' Putting the SD card into another cartridge works though and Pokemon White runs just fine on it.

You need to put the proper firmware/menu files for your flashcart in the SD card (just try copying them from the other SD card)

Copied over the firmware from the SD card to another card, kept battling until the game froze up after 10 minutes.

Try downloading the latest firmware from your flashcart's site
Also if your flashcart has some settings like soft reset or real time save try disabling them for the freezing game

If you happen to own one of the DSi models, I highly recomend to switch from your FC to TwilightMenu++, as it is easier to handle vs the flashcard firmwares, b4ecause your card could be completely obsolete or hard to update.

I happen to do so, how do I do this?

So I just ended up with a dead end, currently overseas and have no way of tinkering with the SD card to setup TwilightMenu++ without the backup, I think. Gonna try downloading the firmwire instead, will update when I do.

Update: New firmwire managed to have Pokemon running for longer than usual, although it also did this when I got the new ROM. The game would last for a while but with each startup, the time before the game would freeze would decrease (Took ~25-30min to freeze, quickly down to 5min to freeze), obviously I don't have the lengthy time to test this rn. Hopefully this isn't the case and the game actually works now, will come back here if problems arise.

Booted the game up again for the 2nd time, game lasted like 1 minute before it froze. pls help

Edit: Also tried playing the 3DS with the flashcart, game seemed to last for a while though. I'm assuming it'll just freeze up on the second startup lol.

Edit: Yeah nvm, game just froze up after 36 minutes.
