Ports to the Wii U from the homebrew scene in the time since the system had been laid to rest

I recently found this repo but idk about how legit it can be, as it used chatGPT (only for the readme apparently though) and I can't seem to get it to work, my builds always crash at startup: https://github.com/xtomasnemec/Balatro-Wii-U
The dev finally created a way that doesn't require Docker, but the game crashes at 100% when loading for me too. According to the dev, "the game still doesn't work since my GLSL implementation is broken", so we gotta wait until it's fixed to play it.

PS: i am currently working on fixing the crashes

Hope you can fix the crashes. Would be great to have this game on the wii u and I bet a lot more people will talk about your port than you might expect. The wii u scene might not be big, but we really appreciate every homebrew game that we can get.

Edit: is this port made on unity engine?

No, it's using a fork of lovepotion which itself is a port of Love2D to Wii U, Switch and 3DS
 
The OP to this post ported Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. His link got deleted but a commenter saved the file here. I tried it and it works good. I only played the SNES 'port', but I plan on trying to finish this one.
This thread is about source ports, that's an inject using either Retroarch of the native PC Engine emulator.

Still, i didn't know that was a thing and i'm sure as hell installing that one.
 
Just noticed the attached mod files aren't updated, I recommend getting them from the official website: Sonic 1 Forever and Sonic 2 Absolute.
Well I did try to update with the latest version of Sonic 1 forever but for some reason I keep getting a screen that says script parsing failed followed along with opcode not found setclassicfade and an error in title/sega.text so if there is a way to get the exact latest version of Sonic 1 forever to work through the Wii u I would like some help if anyone's willing to offer it
 
There is a Cuphead port, but the link is dead. However The Latte Team are making their own port now.
And also, Garry's Mod is not in the list.
incredibly stupid question but how do i actually install the Gmod wii u port, im new to installing stuff on wii u and im not sure what im supposed todo(sorry if this is obvious)

You need to extract the .rar file and put the folder that comes out of it inside the install folder of the SD Card. Then, install the WUP (folder extracted from the .rar file) with WUP Installer GX or NUSspli.
