Someone spilled the beans earlier today, and took photos of their Switch console with the new TX Switch Modchip installed!

Pictures they say are worth more than 1000 words, and in this case earlier today MaxConsole posted 3 of them, showcasing what appears to be the new TX Switch ModChip installed on console.

From what he agreed to tell us, they are still improving the product on both Mariko and Patched Switch so first shipment will only be after Chinese New Year. Unfortunately a good month away (or more). For information, he added the product also work on unpatched console, so basically all classic models function with this product. Still the product is coming, getting closer, and a separate product for Switch Lite is also underway. I guess we will have to be a bit more patient for more info.

The pictures are only showing part of the installation because he was concerned to be identified by board numbers or such. But he promised he will send us more info in the weeks to come. So probably the next 4 weeks until CNY is over and that we can hopefully also receive our own final review samples!

I mean TX did say a long time ago that they were releasing a solder-less and solder version of their little exploit. Maybe this is the solder one that, for whatever reason, hasn't seen the light of day until now?

If there's one thing I've learned, the Chinese have copied everything that TX has done. Not saying it's a bad thing or a good thing, just an observation. If anybody needs my modding services, I'm always available. And this goes for anything from the PS1 to the 360.

If it's a hardware attack, all they can do is get the mod chip banned, and that can take a year or two.

Besides that, not much, just reverse engineer the chip and find how it works, where the flaw is, and try to patch it in a later hardware revision.

They should have created another discord channel by now, check the webpage and in the frontpage there should be a new discord invitation.

Hope a cfw solution comes for the xkj models soon, had every console since the N64 & never needed a modchip, cfw has always got the job done. Great news this exists though, adds a glimmer of hope for the future. I've owned a switch since Xmas day & haven't played it once, an unhacked Nintendo console is worthless.

They haven't shown it working on every lite ever made. Until they sell it and people start testing it, you can't say for sure.

That happened with bootmii on the Wii. It was released in october 2008, but unknown to Team Twiizers, there were new Wii's already being made with the boot1 bug patched. That exploit was kinda simple, but we don't know how complex this exploit is.

Nintendo may have started another code audit as soon as the news of the TX exploit was posted and tried to fix it.

The firmware doesn't matter for units with f-g. They will be ever hackable or can use every firmware.

All the time people keep updating the hacks of course.

Difficult to say, it depends on what part of the boot process it exploits. They might be able to block it with a system update, which you could probably get round with emunand but of course your brother/girlfriend/cat might update by accident or you might buy a new switch with the update already on.

There is no Switch with a bigger battery. The new model just has a more efficient processor, the battery is the same as in the old model.

Thank you for that. I Think I should not get the other one then and keep what I have and hope that the switch pro does (if real) comes out this year.

Tbh, ps4 scene is dead, they just released a open source sdk tool for the devs to create hombrew on 5.05, even though i think it's not worth it, i already buy all my games on ps4 for cheap prices, and even after hacking my ps3 i didn't download any new games because i already have all the games i need.
