Hardware Windows 10 BlueTooth not detecting Joy-Cons

Title says it all. Why don't my Joy-Cons show up in the bluetooth devices settings menu?
EDIT: Now, sometimes, it will show uo in the list of pairable devices, but it will keep saying "We didn't get any response from the device. Please try connecting again." over and over. What do I do?

try disconnecting the paired joycon in the settings and reconnecting them

apparently i just had to update my bluetooth drivers
