uLaunch v0.2 released

@XorTroll has just released the first major update for his Switch HOME menu reimplementation, uLaunch! Version 0.2 introduces a brand new feature called Quick Menu, which allows for easy and immediate access to various functions & sub-menus without using the touch screen, and can be brought up anytime by pressing (Z)L,(Z)R or the analog sticks. Two new applets (album and controller settings) as well as a power menu have been added to uLaunch, all of which can be accessed from the aforementioned Quick Menu. Many new entries are now available in the settings, including several toggles for the Switch's hardware and software features (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, etc) and console-specific info (Serial Number & MAC Address).

Last, but not least, a new PC companion application, uViewer, has also been released! This app works both as a replacement for the previously released QForegroundViewer, as it incorporates all of its screen streaming functionalities in itself, and also includes an entry creator, thus allowing you to easily make your own custom entries for uLaunch. An uViewer DLL plugin for RetroArch is also available, which can be useful if you wish to create ROM forwarders.

As usual, the official changelog can be read below:
uLaunch 0.2 Changelog said:
  • Main menu
    • Added a new way to open menus without touchscreen: presenting the quick menu! Just hold L/R-stick, then move it while being held to select a menu, leave the stick and profit!

    • Changed the web browser touchable menu item with the controller applet one, for what it's worth.
  • Settings menu
    • New settings were added:
      • Console information upload (enable/disable)

      • Automatic titles' download (e/d)

      • Console auto-update (e/d)

      • Bluetooth (e/d)

      • 3.0 USB (e/d)

      • NFC (e/d)

      • Wireless LAN (e/d)

      • MAC address

      • Serial number
  • Added controller menu applet (as a menu touchable icon, as mentioned above) support to change/manage players and controllers!

  • Added album applet (as part of the aforementioned quick menu) support to view your captures!

  • Added a power menu (as part of the aforementioned quick menu) to quickly power off, reboot or sleep the console!

  • QForegroundViewer has been refactored into a major application: uViewer!
    • New entry creator menu (custom entry creator to be accessible from main menu), customizable with plugins!

    • This includes a custom RetroArch-themed DLL plugin, easily loadable by uViewer, to make ROM forwarding really easy!

    • Added a new way to open menus without touchscreen: presenting the quick menu! Just hold L/R-stick, then move it while being held to select a menu, leave the stick and profit!
  • General
    • Custom icons in entry JSONs can now be used with normal titles too, not just homebrew.

    • Custom name/author/version texts in entries are no longer restricted to 511/15 characters.

    • Certain parts of the code/functionality were slightly improved (speed might be slightly faster in certain laggy moments)
Have fun with a brand new HOME menu!

Tried the first version but it took too long (like 10-20+ seconds) to open the home menu while in a game, personally I'm going to wait a few more for a few updates to pass before I try this again :)

With Lakka as well as the Android rom for the switch, you can use Bluetooth headphones. There must be multiple stacks?/versions of the Bluetooth protocol. Ones where devices such as controllers can sync and work, but headphones are not allowed. Since this seems to be an os replacement, I was curious if Bluetooth headphones stack?/version are enabled.
This is not an OS replacement tho. Its home menu replacement.

sxos promote the play of backup and doesnt care about using nintendo keys and "private" stuffs , while atmosphere , is giving you the basic access of things but doesnt touch anything of those , anything else is up to the user , so nsp are decripted witn a key , they will install ,only if you have the files to let you do it , as of xci , you need to either decrypt them with illegal shared key , or exctract your own key . anyone correct me if im wrong .

sxos is basicly the equivalent of some dude at the corner of the street selling repackaged stuffs of free content with all the illegal stuffs ready so you just pay for the free stuffs and dont have to care about doing the process that is required the free way.

The argument is absolutely idiotic. SX OS offers unique features to the CFW community. Wether it has or not used some code from other CFW who cares!! Aslong as it benefits the community as a whole.
Besides. The piracy argument is really dumb. We all know people pirate just as hard on atmosphere.
The ONLY reason people get their panties in a twist is because some code was used/reused and someone is making money on (part) of their code and it doesn't follow some hacker /etique.
Meanwhile they likely are pirating themselves. Who cares if some of the code was "pirated" Hypocrites. Oh and EGO.
But im sure you people here will shit all over this post to keep up "appearences"

did you ever code something ? its long hard work depending on what your working on , but someone taking your hard work and making profit out of it is just a good exemple of capitalism as it can be . also you do not seem to agree that homebrew can be used in an legal way . there is a line between the two for a reason . if you assume that everyone who hack the switch is for illegal purpose ,then you send a bad image wich should not be the case , you should be able to promote hacking the switch legaly , without promoting the use of illegal keys, files, etc /imreallyhighrightnowsodontbother

No one is going to risk a ban to get some custom skins and homebrew that is available on almost every device in existence

You're wrong there, I have 2 Nintendo Switch systems so I don't care about one getting banned as long as I can try out things created by the community

Fuck @XorTroll for excluding features because "MUH PIRACY!!!!!!!" It's the reason why GoldLeaf doesn't support NSZ installation (whoever made GoldBricks you are awesome)
Get yourself together, kid.
He did nothing to make it incompatible with SX OS. Instead it's TX's fault because of their eShop replacement code. XorTroll already stated that a few posts back.

Poor thing spamming the F*** word without reading first.

@XorTroll: Amazing update. You literally implemented anything missed in v0.1 to be a somewhat complete stable qLaunch replacement, fixing what wasn't working there already.
Now I'm looking forward to future updates to see what you will come up with. :)
