Which one?Use RetroArch forwarders with the Genesis Plus GX core.
RetroArch has a .cia and a .3dsx. What they won't let you in on is that the .3dsx version performs much better than the .cia edition.Which one?
Really I was always told the opposite that Cias perform better than 3dsx.RetroArch has a .cia and a .3dsx. What they won't let you in on is that the .3dsx version performs much better than the .cia edition.
Yes but cia versions get full access to the 3ds hardware so get beter performance and 3dsx versions are stuck in userland so have poorer overall performance. Plus the speed of the cias loading are not really that bad on my original 3dsCIA binaries take a bit of time to load, compared to 3DSX binaries, at least with my 3DS. That's because every core is a different CIA that RetroArch has to install, so just imagine how slow and sometimes unstable it is to load cores when it just installs it to the HOME Menu and then launches it whilst remaining in the main app.

Precious titles lol you have space for 300 titles which is more than enough. Even the devs of retroarch say performance is much better using cia instead of 3dsx. As cias have FULL acess to ram ect and 3dsx doesn't. But i will give up now as you clearly dont want to listen to me or the fact it says the same in the official retroarch thread or the devs of retroarch ect. Enjoy your poorer performing 3dsx versionsThat's because you had the cores installed to the HOME Menu, where it'll take up precious tiles. Having to wait for it to install and load is a slog. 3DSX files do have the vast majority of access to features to the 3DS like with CIA aside from a couple of features not needed for RetroArch to function. Like, who needs access to the internal storage just to play Driver 1 on the GBC?
Thank you WeedZ for backing up what I said.Software installed to the system has kernel access and access to more system resources. There is no load time for it to "install" the core. It's already installed. Do you think installing dlc for a game affects load times, game speed or overall performance? Its the same concept.
So what do I actually do?RetroArch has a .cia and a .3dsx. What they won't let you in on is that the .3dsx version performs much better than the .cia edition.
You use the cia version for all the reasons meantioned by myself and WeedZ and the retroarch devs ect or you trust the word of the one person who says to use 3dsx.So what do I actually do?
Do I make a fake inject and extract the Cia file or whatYou use the cia version for all the reasons meantioned by myself and WeedZ and the retroarch devs ect or you trust the word of the one person who says to use 3dsx.
