That's about as simple as I can explain it in thread title alone.

Ok, so lately, for no reason, my console will act as if there is no sd card inserted when booting up Haxchi and trying to enter the Homebrew Channel (yknow, by holding down the A button when booting Haxchi). I've tried powering down my console, putting the sd card back in and it'll continually do this, except when it DOES decide to read it. Sometimes I won't use my console for DAYS and it'll sort itself out. I have NO freakin idea if this is the SD card being faulty or my console, and I really do not want to get another console and start all over with softmodding.

I literally cannot find ANY solution to this ANYWHERE. What the shit's going on?! Is it my SD card or console?! I just wanted to play BOTW modded, man, WHY does it keep giving me the -3 error, and sometimes sort itself out?! There's no rhyme or reason to it, nor a distinct pattern; it'll randomly correct itself either after a few tries or a few DAYS.

I NEED ANSWERS.

Hello,

save all the contents of your SD card to your computer, then format your SD card into fat 32, then put your files back on it, and see the result?

get a branded SD card, it will work much better.

Yeah uh, one problem there. It IS branded (Sandisk Microsd and adapter) and ALREADY in FAT32 format. I didn't HAVE these problems with my console up until recently, and I can find absolutely NO explanation as to why it keeps doing this. Sorry, but your answer just seems to be another non-answer in the see of no one else apparently having this problem.

Is it an SD or a micro SD in an adapter?
It's common that the micro SD does not make good contact inside the adapter and the console can't detect it.

Make sure it real and not a dodgy fake.

Genuine Cards have Serial Numbers and beware ones with shiny stickers and no Serial number they Fake.

Google fake Sd check for an app that tests blocks for consistency cant remember name but I have been burnt couple times myself.

Check Metal Contacts are clean.

SanDisk 64GB 80Mbps. That my Card and great for Backup NAND and good size for Installing Games.

This is a stab in the dark, but... sometimes inserting an SD card can push the write-protect tab on the SD card into the "Lock" position. This has happened to me many times on Wii U consoles specifically. So, make sure it's not that.

Otherwise, backup the files from the SD card, format it and then test it with h2testw. You should make a habit of testing every SD card you buy with h2testw since bad/fake cards are so common.

A Micro SD in an adapter; again, both Sandisk brand. Never had problems with either before recently.
Try sticking a small piece of adhesive tape on the micro SD, on the back of where the electrical contacts are.
If it's thick enough, like electric tape, one layer is enough to increase the pressure enough to make it work.
