ub3r1337's first impressions from a direct demo of TX upcoming new hardware mods!

ub3r1337 recently meet with TX to have them demo to him their upcoming new mods for the Switch (patched, mariko and lite). Unfortunately, he didn't get any pictures, but he says they'll be coming later on. Even so, he shared some of this new information at MaxConsole, also shown below:

First Off: It is a hardware mod. TX went back to its roots, and this solution is a device you need to install inside your Switch.

From what we could tell the install looks ultra simple and almost plug and play. When pushed about the install requirements, TX held back from claiming its fully solder-less, stating clearly that this particular design will always benefit from a few simple solder connections, versus the original intent of fully solder-less (at least for the classic model which is the unit we got to inspect).

In other words, a fully solder-less install is potentially possible with the classic models however it is not recommended by TX due to long term reliability concerns (we will cover this more in-depth at a later date, once we have our preview unit in our hands and put it thru some tests)

Second Point: There is one device for Patched and Mariko unit which is probably under production (see point three) and should be available soon They plan to release 2 devices; one for all classic versions (original, patch and mariko) and one for the Switch Lite.

Third Point: I really pushed for a release date, but TX refused to confirm anything during our meeting. From what I understood, even though it seems to be currently under production, because all sorts of things can occur in the factory during production, they will not commit to a date to me or their resellers until they are certain they can deliver on time enough stock to meet the demand.

I guess I can only respect that, this is probably why they did not announce anything yet, and we should know more once it is finally officially announced on their TX website.

At some point ub3r1337 hopes to get some pictures and videos from TX and a review unit, but we have no clue when that will happen. For now we just have to sit and wait for some more news regarding these new TX hardware mods to appear online!

Lemme just state this. If TX has an exploit then kudos to them. They've contributed something meaningful to the scene as a whole. I do hope they have an exploit and if they do I hope they don't lock it down to only work with SX OS.

At this point, I think them having an exploit is a real possibility.

The method does exist.

This is a real product.

If you don't like it, then go cry "fake" and "demand proof" all you want. When the product is ready, it will get an official announcement and all the details will be given to the public.

Then at that point, all of you can dig deeper into your conspiracy theories and come up with more negative remarks to deface Team Xecuter. It doesn't really matter what you guys say at this point. It will be released when it's ready. Just have some patience and you will see.

Modchip on the 2 year old console is easy and available, mine has one. Modchip for this year's models has yet to be seen.

First everyone complained and said that having an exploit like this is highly unlikely(understandably so) and said to take everything with a grain of salt until proven otherwise

Than Costello(our admin) was able to confirm that the exploit was indeed real, and you all started complaining about how you want to see it with your eyes otherwise it is fake.

Now we have another source confirming it's real and you are all still complaining

You uh, you don't understand how piracy works do you?

This isn't piracy. Them adding DRM to it so it only works on SX OS? Plausible (but very silly), but just as plausible we'll get a clone that doesn't have the DRM.

There also is no confirmation as of yet they'll lock it down to SX OS only. I don't think they will intentionally because they still want it possible to update payloads, but who knows.

Either way, just like how converters exist for payload pushers for their dongle, I'm sure an equivalent will pop up that converts a hekate payload to something their chip could run.

Also, can I just point out how funny it is that I see a bunch of people saying "Atmosphere shills are mad" in this thread, yet the people that normally get this designation are just observing it with mild curiosity and some scepticism? Like, I don't think I've seen anyone really mad about it the way folks get critical over SX OS stealing Atmosphere/HOS code.

Seriously, if TX is paying you to promote their product, more power to you (and moral down from me), but you're yelling that there is a fire when there isn't any.
