'xecuter released src for this, goldleaf etc could incorporate'

No, sorry. I get it - It's an API for their CFW, so it won't work on other CFWs. They haven't actually explained how it works.

Too good to be true I guess...
It's surprising though that nobody has figured out how to make HDD's work without dock.

Because it's only worth as much as you would get out of it, respect and credibility whilst TX rake in cash so they have a motive and I guess people have lives too and can't always spend time tinkering just for a free release

Yeah, I guess.
If they told the public how they did this, their software would basically just die instantly.
Atmosphere does everything SX-OS can do but usb mounting (I'll stop here before people come and start arguing)

Pretty sure people have successfully made HDDs work with an OTG adapter

Really? Wow!
(Could you please link to who exactly? Thank you!)]
:D
Not sure but I swear I have heard it mentioned on multiple occasions.
You just need to make sure the adapter is the correct type (USB-C->OTG and not OTG->USB-C, they might look the same but they don't work the same. One is for connecting an OTG device to a USB-C host (what you want) and the other is to connect a USB-C OTG device to whatever port is on the other end.

It would be really helpful if you could provide a link. I have an adapter and am really looking for something like this.
