Hardware Is the Vita Analog module soldered in?

Planning to get a vita with broken right stick and just simply replacing.

Can someone please redirect me to a thread teaching how to CFW the Vita on Firmware 3.73?

I stupidly updated to 3.73 and contary to what many claim, it's been patched by Sony and made very unstable to hack and use homebrews on.
