Another day, another SX OS update! Today, Team-Xecuter released their SX OS v2.9.2 beta.

Good news, we been informed that TX has finally released v2.9.2 and it contains some new features, and also it looks this will soon be their 'STABLE' release and they report they are hard at work on SX OS v3.0.0 so we have alot to look forward to enjoy soon! Oh'yeah, it also fully supports the latest Nintendo Switch firmware v9.0.1 of course

• Local Multiplayer over the internet (LAN play) is working again.
  Somewhere down the line we introduced a regression in functionality causing local multiplayer emulation to be broken and/or out of sync with the current lan-play implementation. This has been addressed and should work correctly again.
• Extended scope of Stealth Mode
  Recently it has come to our attention that there was claims floating around about stealth mode being broken on SX OS v2.9+. We investigated these claims and are happy to let you know this is completely wrong. Stealth Mode behaved exactly the same like it always did. Nonetheless, we took this feedback/rumour as an opportunity to further tighten down on the stealthiness. From now you cannot start the eShop application if you have stealth mode enabled. Furthermore all error reporting and telemetry has been neutered. That means errors that are generated while using SX OS that might get you "flagged" won't be queued up for delivery when you boot into OFW anymore either!
• Improved XCI game compatibility
  In our last update we already addressed some compatibility issues with re-packed XCI images, yet some XCI files were still not playable. We investigated this issue and as it turns out there are certain tools around (older versions of 'NSC Builder' for example) that generate bogus metadata for the (encrypted) 'Gamecard Info' that is part of the XCI header. Our gamecart emulation now detects these bad images and fixes them. If you want your XCI images to be future proof; please be careful with whatever post-processing you apply to XCI files though, we can't clean up after other people's mistakes indefinitely!
• Rebooting SX OS
  If you select "restart" now from the power options menu you will actually reboot into SX OS. There is no need to replug your SX Pro dongle or send a payload from your computer when doing so. Additionally, if an error occurs you can also reboot into SX OS by simply pressing the power button. Neat!

They report this will be their final v2.x release as they are moving forward to a big v3.0 release with it having many suggestions they have received over the last few months from their valued SX OS users, so in the meantime grab their v2.9.2 release from their website.

Just to clarify, does this update fix Stealth Mode in the UK? Because people pointed out it doesn't work because of the TX website blockade in the UK.

That makes no sense as TX does not use a 90dns service or access anything to do with its websites from sx os except for online update and license activated. Both of which you can do manually via vpn and a PC.

I mean with this that mean we will barely use our rcm mode

Now a Downgrade system (for sx os not switch) would be really need in case an update break something we use

Also about these queue logs I am curious, does it include the game played?
Like let say I play a game both in card and XCI (the same exact game*) as I dumped it myself with my own cert so.
Would these two games appear identical in these logs? (if they even appear)

Just so you guys know the sxos album or Homebrew app[photo album] is broken while you try to launch it with a game open.
So to those who use custom cheats might wanna go back to a previous sxos update when it worked without an automatic error.

I was able to open the sx album just fine when running DQXI

then i guess the error happens on a non 9.0 firm since im on 8.0.1 also this happen on both Fire Emblem 3-H/Ni No Kuni which I made them into custom xci's if that even matters

Reboot to TXOS after a homebrew crash will be a godsend. Sometimes pesky homebrew crashes and it's annoying having to go grab my usb cables.

I thought this got fixed, pissed off emoji you should read your comments I told you about this issue before!!! Have I got to join TX discord just to tell you guys what’s the obvious for fuk sake what’s wrong with TX devs! That was the only real issue I wanted fixing

Edit: Concentrate on what’s important like getting full xci emulation working properly not silly ideas like rebooting into sxos on power options get your priorities right first, stop messing about!!! Fix up!

The update hasn’t changed one bit, it’s still got the same xci stealth mode issues when you turn it off!

I hope this update makes the Switch boot into SXOS when you power it off and put it in the dock. I forgot the Switch powers on when you put it back in the dock, so mine booted into OFW and downloaded the 9.0 update. I have to update to 9.0 now to get rid of that dang update nag. Hopefully, most of the bugs have been worked out.

Edit: I just realized I asked if this had cold booting. Whoops. Turns out this "new" feature is just the "reboot to payload with error support" built into SXOS. Cold booting would be nice if it was implemented into SXOS 3.0.

For coldboot first they would need a new exploit, its not just a change in their Boot.dat that will do that, I still haven't seen anyone put the coldboot known vulnerabilities into a full working exploit yet at least publicly and anyway they are for lower FW consoles only so even if TX did put them to use the sysnand would still be required to be on the required low FW I can't even remember anymore but think the known ones were up to FW 3.0 if I'm not mistaken or 3.01, whatever...

It would be cool if anyone would find a new exploit that would work on latest FW for a full softmod, specially hacking the new improved switch I'd run sell my almost non used hacked swith right away and would buy the new model, but lets face it, that day might never come, now it's tighter than ever .

Anyway if the coldboot exploits are put to good use I think TX would be the last to actually make them work...

If you want to play online, then boot to OFW and put your game cartridge in. It's not rocket science.

If I could confirm this, that would help... but I am not going to turn off stealth mode and go online with CFW. That's just a stupid idea.

I went ahead and copy/pasted your extremely polite post to the devs, so hopefully this gets fixed. Sorry this makes you so angry.
