That's the problem, that folder doesn't show up in the quick menu to let me get to the emulators. Should the emulators be in a different folder?

I think you're confusing the terms.
The quick menu is the menu that looks like the original DS phat/lite menu.
The ROM menu is the menu with the folders and the .nds ROMs.

The emulator can be anywhere except the "_nds" folder.

OK I can get to the settings now. What do I change. I changed it to ram disk:1 but it's the same thing. And like I said, the zx spectrum rom files don't show up in the folder they're in. Why?

It has to be 0 for RAM disk.

Because TWLMenu++ doesn't support that filetype. You need to run the emulator itself to show them.

Maybe it also helps if you tell us of what Device you use: 3DS or DSi.On the DSi I can not get the Emulator to work.It shuts down the DSi.

On the homepage of the Emulator it says it is only compatible with Flashcards:

The provided binary ZXDS.nds is primarily intended for Slot-1 (DS slot) based cards. Most of these cards now support automatic DLDI patching, so you likely won't have to bother with that at all. Just give it a try and you will see. If it won't work for you right away (meaning you won't be able to see any files to load in the load requester) you might need to patch it with a specific DLDI driver for your card with a DLDI patcher, both of which you can find here. If you need the ZXDS.ds.gba version which is better suited for Slot-2 (GBA slot) based cards, simply follow the instructions provided here. Note that you will likely need to DLDI patch it first in this case. If it still doesn't work, I am really sorry, but there is not much I can do about it. Please do NOT contact me regarding if it works or doesn't work on your card. Thanks.

Oh ok, I'll just have to run it on my flash cart then. Kinda hoped maybe it'd let me run it because it's the only thing i need the cart for now but ohwell.

To make sure, does it matter where the ramdisk file is located?

I am trying to get dsiware .nds ROMs working from the sdcard on a cfw 3ds, and everything gives me a hugely helpful "an error has occurred" on the nds bootstrap splash screen, after telling me it successfully created some "public save file"?

Normal DS .nds games aren't a problem.

Is there something special I've not done to get dsiware working? (I'm on the latest releases of twilight and nds bootstrap.)

Wait for the future version of nds-bootstrap that supports DSiWare, to be released.

So with the future version of nds-bootstrap, running dsiware .nds roms with twilight is through nds-bootstrap or hiyaCFW?
