ROM Hack RELEASE Crash Team Racing 60 FPS mod

Mod for Crash Team Racing that increases framerate from 30 FPS to 60 FPS. It is hitting that target framerate most of the time in handheld mode when using the below overclock but in splitscreen it might need a higher OC. Only tested in handheld mode but bear in mind that this game isnt 60 FPS in any other console even the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X since they are not as powerful as the Switch that means some stuff could be tied to framerate. Overall nothing was wrong during testing.

handheld_charging_cpu=1785

handheld_charging_mem=1600

To install it simply copy the exefs_patches folder to the atmosphere folder.

Should only work with version 1.0.15, 1.0.14, 1.0.13, 1.0.12, 1.0.11, 1.0.10, 1.0.9 and 1.0.7.

Note: The 360p version of this mod makes the game run at 360p aswell as 60FPS so It needs a lower OC than the normal mod. Also it will only work with 1.0.12, 1.0.13, 1.0.14 and 1.0.15.
Recommended OC settings for 360p version:

handheld_cpu=1785
handheld_charging_gpu=537
handheld_gpu=460
handheld_mem=1600

Well it will technically work but SX OS still doesnt have OC so its kinda useless but you could try to check btw you need to copy folder to sxos folder not atmosphere.

It works.

Just you need to enable sys-clk every time you boot system with sys-clk editor.

Spyro has memory bandwidth issues in open areas. You won't get more than 40 FPS there without big downgrade to resolution.

Pls make resolution 720p mod handled mode with this 60 fps for SX user
SX OS can OC but can't use ReverseNX

The reason not use Atmosphere because 60% my games use hdd external and OTG micro sd with xci loading
Big size micro SD is so expensive in my country

You can use this mod i made that increases the density of grass, improves various effects and kinda looks close to ps4 version minus textures but bear in mind that you need high OC to reach anything higher that 540p. To install it copy the titles folder to the reinx/atmosphere/sxos folder.

Could work but will probably be so instable that it should not be considered 60fps.

It works with docked mode only difference is that min dynamic res is set to 83% of 720p instead of 66% which is the one set for handheld so you will need oc.

Yep I did notice that after doing some tests. Really nice the game definitely looks better than standard version. I just used max o/c and seems all good and indeed more like PS4 version.

Hi, can you make a mod for spyro trilogy that only ups the resolution to 720p? I dont need more grass, nor more special effects, nor more fps (only the original 30fps). Can you?

Target res in spyro is 720p in both modes and they are both using dynamic res so you only need OC to get 720p.

I use sxos because when I playing docked I use HDD. ReverseNX doesn't work with SXOS I think.

Yes, it's coded to try to get to 720p if it's running fast enough, the resolution only drops if it's not.
