I mean... It's nice if people want a legit copy of SA for free. But for people like me that already own SA... Eh... It's not worth it. But if people don't have it, go for it. Get the legit copy then use SA Downgrader for mod support and the ability to launch the game without the launcher. May be pointless if you have it pirated but at least you'll have it forever to re-download easily.

alternatively, complain about DRM, that's the entire reason launchers are needed. if you buy a game off GOG or itch, you can simply download the game off the website and run the executable directly. you could even add a link to it from any game launcher of your choice.
and if you're going to say that all launchers other than steam are malware, just remember that all you have is blind faith in steam because it's also proprietary.
