Incognito

incognito
Wipes personal information from your Nintendo Switch by removing it from prodinfo.

purpose
a) So your switch can go online without worrying about a ban or using random dogdy DNS servers that are also likely to get you banned.

b) so malicious homebrew applications cannot steal your personal certificate.

disclaimer
Always have a nand backup. I am not responsible for any bricks or bans. Use at your own risk, experimental.

This application backs up your prodinfo to the SD root, you should keep this backup in a more secure location, and not leave it on the SD card where malicious applications can read it.

edit: atmosphere blocks writes to CAL0, so you must use ReiNX or SX OS to install this. Once installed, you can switch back to atmosphere.

if the app is being used threw atmosphere like i talked about by setting it up hers the link to the tread.... if done correctly it will say next time you load the app at the top prod.info# is 0000000000000 then all is fine.... it may freze for a sec doing operation but all should go fine if you follow this guide. its very simple. https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-custo...phere-that-allows-writing-to-prodinfo.541609/

Does anyone know if I can patch the sysNAND on an iPatched 4.1.0 Switch with Incognito, or will that brick it? It's for my youngest brother and I want to make it as fool proof as possible so he can't accidentally connect without DNS and get a supernag and be locked out of CFW forever since he'll be having to use a wifi connection to run the exploit every time.

@blawar Do you know?

Considering the amount of people farking them consoles because of dumb, could you add a save method to this?
Like, the save would have the console's details in it, serving as a secondary backup in the case someone deletes the prodinfo.bin?

Them file deleters would possibly find it useful.

I was thinking about prompting the user for a password, to use to encrypt the info in place, however I suspect users would forget their passwords. But yes I am going to add a way to store it on the nand somehow, soon, for technically challenged users.

There really isn't an on/off, this removes console specific information that prevents the switch from connecting to nintendo. Everything else online can be used still.

So if my switch is already banned, using incognito will prevent me from getting those update nags, right?
