Real Tinfoil is tinfoil.io, right?
This is Tinfoil. What you linked is DZ.
I'd use goldleaf but it doesn't have network install so I have to use dz.
Tinfoil does have network install though.

Isn't the freeshop-like thing just DZ too?
At heart, yes.

Hello everyone, quick question. Is it possible to transfer save files from emummc to sysnand?
Thanks!
No and it will never be possible due to the nature of sysMMC and emuMMC being separate.

Issue - Moving SD card. 128GB to 200GB

What I have tried:
1. Formatting SD card on OSX for FAT32 using disk util. Copying over all the content. CFW loads. I can access album holding R for all the tools. However, as soon as console loads, I get error that card can not be read. error code 2016-0247.
2. Delete Nintendo folder - Still complains with the same error.
3. Downloaded tool from the SD Association that is recommended by Nintendo. Took forever to format with overwrite.
4. Turned off AutoRCM. Loading into original software. Complains that it cant read the card. Possible that it cant read SDXC. Googling says this happens when card is exFat. Mine is FAT32?!
5. Going to settings hoping I can format the card from switch. No. Needs software update to format the card (im on 8.1)
6. Copy all the data apart from Nintendo from the old card - Payload inject. CFW does not load.

Insert old card - all good.

WHAT THE..?!
Seems like Nintendo has some troubleshooting tips for that error code which you can check out here.

Just to be sure I'm safe. If i've shared card dumps online, and have been banned online, will that ban transfer to my unbanned Switch, if I use the same cards on it?

Yes, it is.

Not sure what you mean with 3., but remove the internet settings in sysMMC before creating the emuMMC.
For clear instructions follow this guide:
https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/emummc/partitioning_sd/
So, I ran into a bit of a problem. After I updated my switch, I got an error screen after the Nintendo splash logo. It's error code was 2162-0002 (0x4a2). It says the firmware is 8.1.0 and Atmosphere is 0.9.3. I'm using Hekate 5.0.1 and I don't have this Emu stuff for online play. I only want to play offline. Also, I don't have my jig with me at the moment.

I mean I've never heard of a ban that way but you can be never be too careful. I would say the risk will always be there assuming you went online with those cartridges with your hacked Switch otherwise, it would not make sense for Nintendo to ban the other Switch.

Well, one could dump the saves from one and inject them into the other.
I am operating under the assumption the user does not wish to use homebrew as that would defeat the purpose of his question; transfer save files without CFW or homebrew.

What title ID is highlighted in the error code?

Did not go online with those cards. Should I be ok?

Drax anyway you can help with my issue?
Seem to have corrupted my emummc. I went to install a new goldleaf nro and when I put the card back into my switch atmosphere failed to load my emummc partition. So I deleted everything off card, reput atmosphere on via github and did a fresh emummc with hekate. Then I moved my nintendo folder from my backup of my card into the emummc folder that was created. But it's not showing any of the content that would be on my emummc? And for some bizarre reason multiple games show up with the "cart" symbol like I have multiple games in my switch? any help appreciated thank you!

Well, I have tried several things from 90dns to pi-hole(with nintendo server list) and both. Seems like my switch doesnt even see that I have changed my dns. Went into pi-hole then ran 90dns tester to see the urls pop up in pi-hole but the switch didnt show up at all. I can go on my computer and see it show up in pi-hole just not the switch. So....I am not understanding what I need to do to block updates so I dont have to worry about getting the update nag or any system update for that matter since I can only get into cfw via fakenews. any suggestions?
I rarely ever suggest this but you can try installing Incognito on your Switch to block updates but retain Fake News.

Thanks for such detailed explanation.

I don't need the save files in sysNAND as I have backed up using CheckPoint. I'm thinking to revert my switch back to original state before setting up emuNAND.

This is what I'm thinking of doing.

1. Restore my 5.1.0 sysNAND backup.
2. Factory reset it.
3. Setup emuNAND and enable AutoRCM
4. Update emuNAND using CDJNX
5. Boot into sysNAND using Hekate and update horizon OS normally while connecting to the internet.
6. Backup sysNAND 8.1.0 using Hekate. This will still consider clean copy correct? Since no CFW running.

Please advise if steps above are correct and in correct sequence?

Thanks
I already told you that factory resets have not been proven to prevent bans yet you insist on doing it so I do not understand why you want to perform one. I also said to setup emuMMC first before restoring your backup otherwise you will lose all save data on sysMMC and emuMMC. For step 5, you did not indicate if you are booting into CFW or OFW/stock which makes a difference as one will burn fuses while the other will not. Lastly, you do not need to make another dump of your NAND after updating your firmware.

I have a spare switch that I've kept 3.0.0 on waiting for the hacking scene to mature. I'm just now really starting to get into the scene now and have been exploring switch root and the like

What I'm actually here for is that I would like to play some local co op of stardew valley with my girl, which requires 3.0.2. What are my options as far as making this happen? Will I have to update firmware permanently? Would there be a solution with custom firmwares? Am I screwed?
You can use the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX to update your firmware to 3.0.2 without burning fuses. It accomplishes this by enabling AutoRCM. You can read all about this from this guide.

Since I wasn't able to uninstall the theme from the switch homebrew menu, because I can't get pass the splash screen, I just moved it out of my SD card. Still got the same error code and everything. When I go into the Hekate 5.0.1's menu, I go to payload and use the fusee-primary from atomsphere 0.9.3.

Does the network install work without glitching?

Is it possible or has anyone tried to update atmosphere with nxmtp? E.g. when a new atmosphere release is out. Does it cause any problems if you override the atmosphere folder while atmosphere is running?
