Yep that's correct behaviour. That's why we have the USB strap to kick-start the console upon usb disconnectionWas finally able to get switchboot to work! I noticed that if I kept the USB cable plugged in when switchboot was trying to trigger. The switch would stay in RCM mode. All I needed to do was boot without it plugged in.
Which file did you use? Was it definitely the UF2?Please mighty mattytrog help me! I started trying to flash my new Trinket M0 in preparation for installing, but something went wrong. I connected the Trinket to my PC, pressed reset twice, got into Trinketboot and copied the latest Trinket M0 Part 1 Dual Boot bootloader uf2 from the OP, then the drive unmounted, and now I can't get back in to flash the Part 2 file. It won't even show the default circuit-whatever drive when I plug it into my PC. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I'm concerned I managed to brick my Trinket.
Yep, "Part_1_TRINKET_DUAL_BOOT_Latest.uf2" from the first post was the file I used. Could I have used the wrong copy method? I just dragged it from my download folder to the drive entry in the Windows 10 side bar like I'd copy files to any other drive.Yep that's correct behaviour. Thats correct. Is the filesize 512kb?Yep, "Part_1_TRINKET_DUAL_BOOT_Latest.uf2" from the first post was the file I used. Could I have used the wrong copy method? I just dragged it from my download folder to the drive entry in the Windows 10 side bar like I'd copy files to any other drive.
The Part 1 file is 20KB, Part 2 is 512KB. That's just it, I can't resend it. When I connect the Trinket to my PC nothing shows up. Originally, the default circuitpy drive would show up, then I'd double press and Trinketboot would replace it. Now nothing loads. Device manager says the Trinket is connected, it just doesn't want to show any of the storage options.Thats correct. Is the filesize 512kb?
Have you triedpowering off, then sending the update payload again? Then double-press reset leaving half-second gap?

Well buggerThe part1 file is incorrect size. You have flashed incorrect size uf2. They should ALWAYS be 512kb.
EDIT:
I`m checking my files out. They are showinfg the same my end. Be right back.
The part1 files are 19.2kb. That is correct size. Like I say - I wasn`t awake and severely hung over!Well bugger
The middle LED is gree, the bottom right LED is green, and the bottom left LED is breathing red/orange. I've been trying various double press timings all afternoon, I can't get the UF2 drive to show up. The tutorials I watched all had the UF2 drive re-mount automatically after flashing Part 1, mine never did that. Would this be the result if I brain farted and copied part 2 first instead? Or should it still work the same? The part1 files are 19.2kb. That is correct size. Like I say - I wasn`t awake and severely hung over!
Are there any lights on your chip at all? If so, just experiment with different "double-press" reset button timings. Leave half second between presses.
If it breathing red-orange, it isn`t bricked. You need to hard-power off (hold for 12 seconds), resend the SAMD21 update payload and it should pop up if its breathing. The middle LED is gree, the bottom right LED is green, and the bottom left LED is breathing red/orange. Update? This is a fresh Trinket that hasn't been installed yet.If it breathing red-orange, it isn`t bricked. You need to hard-power off (hold for 12 seconds), resend the SAMD21 update payload and it should pop up if its breathing.

I've done both of those, in several combinations. The centre LED just flashes purple for a split second, then goes red, then back to green and no dice.Oh. I see.
Most peculiar. If it hasn`t been fitted yet and it is breathing, it should be showing up. Try a different usb port or cable.
Yes that is correct. All your lights are correct. The red LED will be fading dark to bright - breathing.I've done both of those, in several combinations. The centre LED just flashes purple for a split second, then goes red, then back to green and no dice.
Nup, just normal Windows 10 Pro and a regular run-of-the-mill USB 2.0 port. Device manager says the Trinket is there under USB devices. If I unplug the Trinket and plug it back in, the bottom left LED doesn't breathe until I press the reset button. It just stays dimly lit, that helpful at all?Yes that is correct. What are you getting in device manager? Not using anything that interferes with USB port are you? eg virtualbox?
Your Trinket seems fine. Check device manager and see what you have in thereNup, just normal Windows 10 Pro and a regular run-of-the-mill USB 2.0 port.
