with a "wii classic controller pro" ? yes, this should be possible.

I currently have my wiiu at a friends house and cant test,so it'll take a few days at least

edit:
maybe you can test the attached version
Any update on this? This sounds like a good way to play Super Mario Sunshine.

After years of hiatus I finally returned to the wonderful world of the Gamecube, and thanks to Nintendont I can use the Wii's component cable and force progressive on my original PAL games! YAY!

To my problem: when playing Eternal Darkness, the sound is acting up. The music is sometimes crackling, and now in chapter 4 the music is (in lack of a better description) "jumpy" or "laggy". The music sounds normal when I'm in the pause menu, but the problem reoccurs as soon as I continue playing.

I use the Wii and the game is an original PAL disc. I do force progressive, and also changed the video width within Nintendont, but the sound was weird even when these were set to default. Any help would be much appreciated!

so your using the pal disc directly? maybe you have an outdated nintendont version? or maybe its becuase you are forcing stuff?, tell me your nintendont version, also try without forcing anything.

Yes, original PAL disc directly. No ISO/DVD/harddrive whatsoever. I only boot Nintendont from SD card, and load the original disk.

Thanks, tested your suggestion now - turned off force progressive and also turned screen width back to auto - but the problem persists unfortunately.
The Nintendont version is 5.486 and firmware is 58.24.31.

Sure! These are the settings I use right now, with progressive on and width adjusted. Only difference from the test earlier is that progressive was then turned off, and width was automatic (if you want I can provide a photo of those settings too).

your using an sd card to run nintendont or usb? maybe sd/usb is slow and it stutters since eternal darkness is audio streaming and requires abit more speed, that or your disc reader is maybe going bad, you tryed using an iso on sd/usb to see if the same result aplys?

Those tiny GameCube discs need a lot of care since they can get scratched with just a pencil

When googling similar problems people are having with Nintendont, I noticed Eternal Darkness pops up very often, so I think maybe you're right about the streaming audio! This game has a Need for Speed!

I'm very pedantic with my GC games, and the original disc is in mint condition (bought it new back in the day and this is the first time I actually play it. Yes, shame on me :P ). No scratches at all, so I don't think my original disc is the problem.

But maybe the SD card!

After the help and tips from you guys I now did the following:
- changed my SD card loading Nintendont to a newer one, which is also big enough for GC games
- put verified Eternal Darkness PAL iso on that same SD card, instead of using original disk

Result: the game not only loads faster but also no stuttering music as of yet!
So the problem might have been slow SD card. Later on, I'm going to try loading only Nintendont from the card and play from the original disk just to experiment.

Thank you guys, I'll come back if the problems return ;)

yeah audio streaming games requires fastest reads than normal so slow sd cards/usb devices do stutter and take bigger load times, not sure if your disc is to blame too, maybe try the disc with new sd card.

It's also possible it't the disc drive, not the disc itself. They do have more difficulty reading even good discs as they slowly wear out. If this game needs the data particularly quickly, it may just be struggling to keep up.

still need my wiiu for testing (maybe I setup wii again the next days, but I currently dont have a pro controller, just a wiimote).

I posted a version previously, which I didn't test. Does this one not work or only partially or did it break (pro) controller support?

Will there ever be a feature in nintendont where you can create a channel for a specific game to launch directly from the wii system menu? There's a tutorial out there on GBAtemp on how to manually create one, but i've had no luck being able to successfully do it.

I'm planning to buy a gamecube controller for my softmoded wii. Here is my question. Can I use gamecube controller while native control is off and a PS3 controller is plugged in via usb? Planning to play some games with my gf and cant afford the second GC controller. If not maybe I won't be getting a GC controller.

is there a way to position the title names to the left?

example:
Animal Crossing [ID]
Cubivore: Survival of the Fittest [ID]
Mario Party 6 [ID]
Metroid Prime [ID]
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes [ID]
TimeSplitters 2 [ID]
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect [ID], etc

it really bugs me that they're all on the right, please tell me!
