Hacking VitaCheat/FinalCheat Database

I'm playing the GOW collection, and using the cheats from the database. The orbs cheat and the life cheat (which are the only ones I really want) don't do shit for me and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I don't have any of the plugins that are said to have an adverse effect on codes, I've got 3.60 Enso, Vitacheat 3.60 z04, my GOW is a version 1.00 NoNpDRM. I can open vitacheat, I can see and select the codes and turn them on...they just don't do anything.

I've been trying for days to figure this out, and I'm honestly super frustrated. Any ideas?

The orbs thing isn't that much of an issue, I searched and figured out that I can change 0x82279790 sections 8 and 9 to FF and get like ~16k orbs, but yeah. Still frustrating.

Which Version are you using, and on which Copy of the Game are you using them on?

Hello. I had no problems using the cheats for the game. You need to make sure you use the game version that matches the cheats version. I know its really simple but some people do forget this. The problem i had with the infinite health cheat is that in God Of War it glitches the last fight against aries so you have to play that one properly. You see if the cheat is on you beat him in one hit haha, but it freezes at a what screen at the credits. Its odd that its not working for you.

After restarting the game it looks like the minigame lives code needs a pointer I'll find and post it later on today for now just search dec 40080000 and it should pop up
As float 2.12500 for 3 hearts.

Tried searching both 40080000 and 2.12500 on dec (don't know how to put the point of the second one), and the game keeps crashing. Changing the range to 0x40080000 (using a float to hex converter) and searching for 40080000 also results in a crash.
Strange that preset cheats work normally in my Vita...

I wonder if this game has any sort of touch controls? If so that could be why it freezes for one and not the other? In the game Plants vs Zombies Yohoki helped me and made cheats for the game,it turned out the results on our vitas where different because i had the touch controls disabled, an odd thing to say the least. It seem that from reading other posts that your language setting can effect results as well which is crazy haha.

It does have touch controls, but I need to check if it's possible to enter the minigame without touchscreen. And I don't know if it's possible to disable touch screen in Va-11 Hall-A.

To answer previous questions...I'm playing GOW 1. My copy of the game came from NPS, is NND version 1.00. The cheat database says you need 1.00 so I'm covered there. I haven't actually tried it with GOW 2, but probably should, eh? But yes, I'm using the NND version of the cheats. I've practically got that orb code block memorized by now lol.

Edit: They work just fine with GOW 2. How weird is that? So it seems GOW 1 is the issue. I still have no idea how to fix that lol.

Make sure the Codes are Properly noted down. I had that Problem before. Sometimes, for some odd reason, the Codes might get incorrect.
Make absolutly sure there are no Spaces in the $#### area. Example:
$ #### xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx <- Will Not work properly
$#### xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx <- Should work properly now.

40080000 is dec and 2.12500 is a float you press square to switch between them and i think it may be crashing due to a plugin.

You have installed vitacheat correctly right?
Does vitacheat crash in any other games?
If possible can you paste your config.txt from ur0:tai folder.
Did the money code work for you?
Did the touch control option change anything? I also left have toucj controls on.
I'll try to foms the pointer today if i het a chance and post it here.

Yea so far touch controls on/off, language change, and using some plugins shift the codes around I'm still trying to find a way to ger around all this lol
But in this case his game crashes when just searching in vitacheat which leads me to believe it's a plugin conflict or vitacheat may not be properly installed.

Same happened to me lol i have no idea what caused it, but i think it may be that the codes were found on gow 2 and once activated they shifted the gow1 codes.

About crashes: I remember it crashing on Dragon's Crown, but I think it was me messing up the numbers (I remember someone saying "the numbers are a lie" about Dragon's Crown). Other than that, that I tried, no.
config.txt is in the attachment.

I tried to use the code for the money, and it didn't work. I believe I typed the code in the .psv file correctly.
And there wasn't any option to type the floats in VitaCheat, since square also wasn't recognized in Go Search.

Ok looks like you have storagemgr.skprx twice on here, put it as the first line right under kernal and delete the otjer 2 storagemgr lines also i think screenie is outdated and has been replaced my pngshot, someone correct me if I'm wrong but i would delete screenie and install pngshot instead, everything else looks good

Gotcha i see what you mean i think you should be fine using screenie as long as you fix the storagemgr issue in the config.txt, and yea z06 should work on 3.68 as well, you don't have to but z06 does make it easier to find if any plugins are affecting the location of the code.

Still haven't updated VitaCheat to z06, but I tried searching for the hp of the main character of another game, and the same crash happened. Perhaps VitaCheat is broken for me. Or maybe VitaCheat simply doesn't work properly on my Vita by default (someone said that VitaCheat to work 100% in a device, it's just a matter of luck).

Did you fix the config.txt? I believe that's what's causing your crash. You have storagemgr.skprx line twice.
I think you have vitacheat installed correctly, i mean you do have the vitacheat folder in ux0 right? Vitacheat.skprx goes in ur0:tai folder, but vitacheat.suprx goes in ux0:vitacheat folder along with the font and db folder.

Did you fix the config.txt? I believe that's what's causing your crash. You have storagemgr.skprx line twice.
I think you have vitacheat installed correctly, i mean you do have the vitacheat folder in ux0 right? Vitacheat.skprx goes in ur0:tai folder, but vitacheat.suprx goes in ux0:vitacheat folder along with the font and db folder.

Storagemgr fixed. There ain't no Vitacheat.skprx inur0:tai/. Instead, the tutorial I followed said it should go in ur0:vitacheat/. And I have vitacheat.suprx in ux0:vitacheat/.
EDIT: it's just "go search" that doesn't work. .psv files work normally. So I think that, if it was a bad installation, nothing would work.
