no need, it looks on usb:/wbfs/
if you have multiple partition, then you have to select the partition (or force a refresh maybe) here : settings > hdd menu > click on the first option (install partition) to scroll through all partition.
it's the only thing you can change related to where the games are located.

you used the program to "put them here", or to "install them" ?
please, only use that program properly !
if you use the program to "convert", you are doing it wrong.
you have to use the program to "transfer" the game to the device.
check you used it correctly here :

ok so, i turned multiple partitions to on and unpluged and pluged the usb and it now shows the storage of the usb but still no games

Hello.:)

In USBLoaderGX Main Screen do you have checked on "Select Loader Mode" (on Top screen) if Wii/Gamecube Games are checked ?

Thank you.:)

Summary:

- you transferred Wii games to your USB device on your PC - all ok
- you unplug it an plug in into the BOTTOM USB connection on your Wii.
- you start USBLoader GX (latest build)
- your USB device is recognized
- USBLoader starts
- it shows your USB device on the Main Screen
- Wii Games and Gamecube games are checked under "Select Loader Mode"
- but NO Games

Right ?:)

Yes, Right

To be sure:

Wii games are placed like this:

/wbfs/Game Title [TitleID]/TitleID.wbfs

Example:

/wbfs/Mountain Sports [R7WE52]/R7WE52.wbfs

I think he did all correctly.
that's just strange that the loader detects and mounts the partition, but doesn't display any games.
maybe it's a favorite, or filter problem?

just be sure it's plugged to Port0. (bottom on Wii, backtop on wiiu)

Port0 is a on the same place as the cables (place where you put component, sensor bar etc) right? so i use my wii upwards and theres 2 of them, do i plug it on the left or on the right one?

last answear was kinda flat, i inserted the usb on port 0 and still no games show up but it still recognizes the usb

did you try to reset the settings? or fully delete the usbloader_gx folder and start from a new install?
try 1272 from my signature on a clean new folder. don't keep old settings or bin files.

Hello. :)

Maybe I now better understand, why USB devices are often not recognized from USBLoader GX.
Since 2 years i have used as Loaders IOS 249 and for the Games IOS 250.This resulted in 99% of my games working (maybe some needs a little "in Game adjustments" but all is fine.) :)

Today I have tried to change the Loader´s IOS from 249 to 58 and Games IOS from 250 to 249.
Result: my USB STICKS are no longer recognized.:(

For me as convinced USB STICK user i can say: That does not work for me.:rofl2:

Thank you.:)

I know this is an oldish thread, but wanted to circle back as i think I'm having a similar issue. Been using a Toshiba USB 2.0 drive for at least 4-5 months now and haven't had any issues with USB Loader GX (I think 1271). Last day or two I downloaded 1272 and overwrote the folder to update and now experiencing the "failed to initialize." When I change the loader IOS to 58 in the USB Loader GX settings, it seemed like it worked. Is that safe to just change?

Yes,that is/was intendend and is ok.:)
Maybe the Install from Disc Option from USBLoader GX has Issues.
If you use it,please change the Loader´s IOS back to 249,then install your Games and when you finish please change it back to 58.
All other Things should work as before.

Thank you.:)

So it seems to be working right now on IOS58 for the Loader, but what confuses me is that I appear to have 1271. I thought 1272 switches to IOS58.
